The broth is light and delicate, but if it had a richer flavor... then the bowl of pho served to the customer would immediately deliver the authentic taste and aroma of beef pho!

We went a few days ago and had to walk out before ordering, there were roaches crawling all over the walls by the tables.

Do not eat here. There was a cockroach chilling next to us & the service was horrible, waitress was so rude pointing to where the english small text on the menu was in a rude way.

This place NASTY! I saw 2 girls freaking out, turns out it’s cus they had found a ROACH in their food. I’m nosy too so I was locking in on what they’d do. They told management and bro, the gasp that gasped when management hit them with the “no speak English”
Such a shame. I had to walk out before my food came. I was not trying to get the surprise crunch in my food too.

DISGUSTING. COCKROACH WAS IN PHO. When staff was notified, they acted like they didn’t know what was going on even though there is CLEARLY A ROACH. The photo was taken after it was found and removed from the soup. While at the counter telling staff, ANOTHER ROACH CRAWLED ACROSS THE COUNTER.

They removed the pho from the bill BUT STILL MADE US PAY FOR THE REST OF THE MEAL. I am absolutely DISGUSTED.

LET ME SAY IT AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK. THERE WAS A COCKROACH IN THE PHO AND STILL MADE US PAY FOR THE REST OF THE MEAL LIKE IT WAS JUST A SMALL MISTAKE/INCONVENIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE.

I have been here many times. I always tell myself I’m going to get the pho, because, ya know, Pho Bang,. Yet every time I end up with the spring rolls and char-broiled pork vermicelli. The pork is great. I got an extra side of that this time. The peanut sauce good. The service is quick.

My wife went to Phở Băng on W Walnut St with her friend on December 6, 2025, and it turned into one of the most DISGUSTING restaurant experiences we’ve ever dealt with.

While she was eating her pho, she suddenly noticed there was a bug in the soup. Not on the table, not on the floor – actually in the bowl she was eating from. She had already taken multiple bites at that point. She stopped immediately, and they took the bug out of the bowl and set it aside.
The photos attached are from after the bug was removed from the pho – you can clearly see it sitting there. Just imagine realizing you’ve been eating around that.

On top of that, there was another bug at the front counter where you pay. So in one visit, there was a bug in the food and a bug at the register. That doesn’t exactly scream “clean, well-maintained kitchen.” It honestly made both of us feel sick just thinking about how many issues there might be behind the scenes if this is what’s visible.

What makes it even worse is how it was handled. Even after all this, they still charged for the friend’s soup, the eggrolls, and the drinks, as if this was just some minor inconvenience. Once there’s a bug floating in a bowl of soup someone is actively eating, the entire meal is ruined. You don’t trust the food anymore, you don’t feel safe eating anything else from that kitchen, and you definitely don’t feel good about paying for the rest of the meal.

We will not be coming back here, and I strongly caution anyone thinking about eating at this place. Food with bugs in it, another bug at the front counter, and then still charging for the rest of the meal is beyond unacceptable and honestly just nasty.

Went here with a friend and she found a roach in her pho! While she was telling them at the counter she saw another roach crawling around up there. At this point everyone’s pho broth was contaminated! They didn’t make her pay for her bowl but we still had to pay for the rest. This is unsanitary and unacceptable.

They gave us the wrong food. I asked explicitly for no meatball in one of the orders, only well done brisket & well done flank. Pointed & verbally advised. Two different people scoffed at me and one lady shoved me aside and muttered rude comments. The portions are bad, the food is over priced, and the flavor is lacking.

Never coming back and cannot recommend this place. Will go to the plethora of other pho restaurants.

Quite good. It gets busy. I recommend getting a table close to the kitchen to flag the waiters down for refills and such. Delicious spring rolls both fresh and fried. Combination pho so good. Highly recommend.
