I’ve had Amala in New York, Atlanta, and New Jersey—but nothing, nothing, beats the Amala I had in Dallas, Texas. Salt and Pepper. Y’all are different! The Amala melted in my mouth, the meats were unbelievably soft, and that cold Malt drink to wash it all down? Perfection. The host was super friendly, the service was fast, and everything about this place just hit the spot. I’m not looking anywhere else—this is my go-to from now on. Thank you, Salt and Pepper. Update June 2025:
I used to enjoy this restaurant back in 2020, but my recent visits in 2025 have been disappointing. They now prioritize familiar faces, serving those they know even if others ordered earlier. I waited over 45 minutes while multiple people who came after me...greeted warmly by the staff were served first. It's unprofessional and upsetting.
