Shalimar Restaurant

I live close by to the restaurant and have tried to find it several times but it always seemed to be closed. Then I found it was inside the food market. I am very pleased I was persistent since I cannot be happier with the food and the price. The buffet has a wide variety of food and everything I have tried was excellent. Couldn't be happier and it is sooo close to me.

A pretty good $8.00 Indian food buffet. I give 4 stars for food, because I've never had a "bad" dish. It's not fine dining, but there is still care taken with each offering.Choices are very limited, but hell, it's an $8.00 buffet! It's good money spent.Tip: Bring your own beverage of choice with you, as their selection is limited.

Good Indian food spicy and delicious ?

I visited the restaurant around 9 pm and restaurant was open and at this time only I was the customer there. I orded 4 vegetarian dishes two of which happen to be naan and rice. They took over 45 minutes to prepare the order and during this time there was not a single person from the restaurant side who came to me to let me know how long I have to wait to get my order, so imagine a scene where a customer alone is waiting in the restaurant with no one around not even to attend the counter. After around 45 min. when I was about to leave a lady who took my order came out with the order and she didn't have simple courtesy to apologise for the delay. On top of everything the food was below average. It was not a good experience. My intentions are not to dissuade anyone from visiting this place but just to narrate the things based upon my personal experience. People are welcome to give it a try if they want.
