We have visited this place twice in the last 4 days. Once in passing and the other to celebrate a bday ?Both times we were among the less than 10 people there. The bday visit... it was like we had the restaurant to our selves. The seating location was perfect. We ordered different dishes, different appetizers and we were not disappointed. The food was authentic and served warm to the touch. The service was great and our tip reflected great service. We live quite a distance from Garland but will definitely visit again in the future.

I placed a pick up up order at lunch time and was surprised to find there was only one other group in the large restaurant. The Superstar of the meal was the Garlic knots. Hot, buttery and garlicky these delicious creations alone were worth the trip. Hands down they are the best garlic knots I have ever tasted. I also ordered the Shrimp creamora which was very good, with a delicate creamy sauce and perfectly cooked shrimp. The side of sausages were okay, but somewhat bland and lacked the seasoning I’d expect in an Italian style sausage. I paid extra for a side salad and was disappointed to find that it was only made of head lettuce, a couple of spinach and an underripe wedge of tomato. So, a little hit or miss… Based upon the Garland knots, I would believe their calzones, or pizza would be worth a try.

Servers and staff were friendly and welcoming but after finding hair in the food we won’t ever be coming back for a second

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room! This place use to be a mortuary 50 years ago! How can this be a restaurant! Look at the picture! How can anybody talk about the food in the reviews. How did this past inspection? Renovating isn’t enough. This is gross! I lost my appetite?

I’ve eaten at the former sicilianos several times, and Vito’s Pizza and Grill is continuing the favorite food and family and friends atmosphere. The same rolls are to die for..and hard to stop eating. My chicken cacciatore was generous two chicken breasts, tasty sauce with fresh tomatoes, green peppers and mushrooms. There were about 20 people there when we left, and room for more. Give this place some business! As soon as they get their liquor license the place should be jumping. Help this small business owner stay in business! The staff is attentive, friendly and eager to provide a great meal.

My family arrived on a Wednesday night around dinner time 6:45-7. Parking lot was empty should have been first sign but I figured mid week give it a try. We ordered a sampler platter everything tasted like it was frozen prior to making. Nothing fresh. We ordered a pizza, calzone, and kids chicken Alfredo and kids grilled chicken and spaghetti. Not sure if the waitress didn’t hear me but we received a huge portion of chicken Alfredo. It was sub par. Not worth $20. The pizza was ok. Tasted similar to Papa Johns. Calzone was huge not the best I have had but it was not the worst. It wasn’t until I got the bill that I realized we didn’t get kids chicken Alfredo but oh well kids can share it for a couple days. I gave three stars for the pasta but everything else was overpriced and not worth the cost.
