I’ve only ordered from them and it’s been good. But I was disappointed that they charged me $30 for oxtail kare kare and couldn’t even give me bagoong for it. I could’ve just made it then. And this time I also ordered the pork bbq and I could tell it was not fresh 😣. Usually it’s good.

A Culinary Journey to the Heart of the Philippines – An Unforgettable Experience at Taste of Philippines! 🇵🇭

From the moment I stepped through the doors of Taste of Philippines, I knew I was in for something special. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a cultural experience that wraps you in warmth, tradition, and the kind of home-cooked flavor that can only come from recipes passed down through generations.

I visited Taste of Philippines with high expectations—and they didn’t just meet them, they blew them out of the water. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and filled with Filipino pride. From traditional décor to the soft music playing in the background, everything about the setting makes you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s home in Manila or Cebu.

Let’s talk about the food, which is, without a doubt, the soul of this place.

We started with the Lumpia Shanghai—perfectly crisp on the outside, packed with seasoned meat and vegetables on the inside. The dipping sauce added just the right tangy balance. Then came the Pancit Bihon, a Filipino classic that Taste of Philippines does exceptionally well. The noodles were stir-fried to perfection with fresh veggies and tender chicken—simple, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying.

For the main course, I ordered the Chicken Adobo, and I honestly believe this might be the best version I’ve had outside the Philippines. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, marinated in that rich soy-vinegar-garlic blend that defines Filipino comfort food. Every bite transported me back to island kitchens and family gatherings.

We also tried the Kare-Kare, a peanut-based oxtail stew served with bagoong (shrimp paste). It was rich, creamy, and soul-warming—the kind of dish that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate the depth of flavor. The Lechon Kawali, crispy fried pork belly, had the perfect crackling skin and juicy meat that’s hard to get just right—but they nailed it.

To round it out, we had Halo-Halo for dessert, a vibrant and refreshing mix of crushed ice, leche flan, ube halaya, jackfruit, sweet beans, and more. It was not only beautiful to look at, but the perfect sweet ending to a truly authentic Filipino meal.

The service was just as memorable as the food. Every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and happy to answer questions about the dishes. You could tell they truly care about sharing their culture and cuisine with every guest who walks through the door.

Whether you’re Filipino and missing a taste of home, or new to the cuisine and ready to explore, Taste of Philippines is a must-visit gem. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a celebration of culture, family, and flavor.

I will absolutely be back to try more from their menu, and I’ll be recommending this spot to anyone who loves authentic, soul-satisfying food made with heart.

Fri 06/2025- We finally made it back to try the dessert. It was pretty good. We tried the Bistek and a few other items. The portions were a bit smaller than our first visit. Matthew did a good job tending to our table.

This was our first time trying Philippino cuisine. It was recommended by my sons. This is a hidden gem 💎 Our party of 5 enjoyed several shareable dishes to really experience the food. Everything was well prepared, great portions, and well seasoned. The prices are reasonable. Our server was polite and did an excellent 👌 job. We had the pork BBQ skewers, Lechon Kiwali Kare-Kare, Lumpiang Shanghai, Bistek, Chicken Inasal, and the Sizzling Sisiq. We definitely overindulged and had no room for dessert, but we plan to come back and try the dessert and other entrees. I recommend you come an try for yourselves👍👍

Doesn't taste like Filipino food sadly. Everything is cooked completely different from more authentic Filipino places/food from the Philippines.

I ordered chicken nasal, chicken was pink and cold, some parts raw. Owner was kind and offered to redo, but he cut it up and put more sauce. It was still cold and pink. He gave me 2 dollars, so I only had to pay 10 dollars for the bowl of rice.
