I hit up Texan Donuts in Garland at 5 in the morning right after they opened. This was the standard donut shop and I was happily in and out. Expect all traditional classic donuts if you go. I ate a couple when I got home and these donuts had to grow on me. They weren't terrible, but I've had so much better. The sweetness was nice, however the texture and flavor of the glazed donut could use some improvement. The cake and old fashioned was slightly better. These donuts did hold up well over many hours which is good.

Placed an order for birthday style donuts a week and half-ish ago and they did not make them. Claimed they thought i placed the order for next week even though I confirmed the day I needed them about 3-4 times. They gave us free donuts to compensate. their system is unreliable (I just called and placed an order and they didn’t even take down a deposit or anything, and the lady couldn’t even understand what I was saying.) and I had a gut feeling they were not going to make the order. Super disappointed cause I will always love supporting small businesses and this was my first AND last time going here.

I have had a lot of donuts, but these are by far my favorite donuts. They are light and fluffy with plenty of glaze. They are never greasy or oily. There is a wide selection of other breakfast item including the breakfast bacon cheese burger which is out of this world. The owner is the sweatiest lady! She noticed my repeat returns really quick. I have been coming for 5 years now. I don’t live around garland so I only get them as a treat when I work out here a few times a month so I buy extra. I bring them home to my wife and kids and they loves them 6-8 hours after purchase. If you like fresh jalapeños she has a great selection of items with soft sweet jalapeño baked in and on them. You are the best Mrs. Song!

Looking at this place from the street view, you would not know they have some of the best donuts in town, but I'm here to tell you that they do! They have a full variety from simple to elaborate and everything in between & they give free donut holes with your order for free! What a bargain! The staff is nice, the prices are very reasonable, and the donuts are delicious!
