I gotta say, I gave this lil spot a shot and it did not miss, 1st off let me say I love how the cooks are wearing a chefs uniform that make it feel some type of way a special feeling like that care about what they are cooking. I got the 3 taco plate lil pricey for a typical mexican spot on taco Tuesday but I know why when I ate my 1st bite I fell in love the rice and beans hit the spot with full of flavor just incredible. I drove 1 hour for a job and hit this spot and let me say its saved inn my Google maps as favorites they hit the spot for tacos, beans and rice and im not a rice guy

I live in Houston, but I come to Dallas several times per year and I always drive out of my way to come to Tranky’s. Their taco’s are fantastic. My favorite is the Barbacoa, followed by the Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Steak Fajita. If you love guacamole, you absolutely must get it! The Service matches the food, and the owner is always on site and greets people by name. There are so many regulars it seems like he knows everyone. If you love tacos like I do, you will not be disappointed with the short drive to Garland to sample these.

Excellent traditional tacos made with quality ingredients. Fresh tortillas. The chef owner is on site cooking and delivering orders to tables, talking with customers, explaining the different salsas. Excellent value and wonderful hospitality and service. I can’t wait to go back to try the cheeseburger. Highly recommend.

As a fellow restaurateur, I have a deep appreciation for places that do it right and this tacorea absolutely does. Everything here is made from scratch, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. The flavors are bold, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. You can tell they take real pride in their food.
My only gripe? Their hours. They close at 3:30, which makes it tough to swing by later in the day. I also think getting on a delivery platform would really help spread the word—this kind of quality deserves to be more accessible and known.
Still, if you can catch them while they’re open, it’s more than worth it.

Hands down, no questions asked, no competition..... BEST and most TENDER!!!!!steak tacos you will ever eat, I'm a blue collar worker and I eat out ALOT, I've been trying for years to find better tacos anywhere in DFW and I've never came even close! I drive from North Fort Worth all the way to Garland TX just to get these tacos, I wish i was joking, I just can't find any better tacos closer to my house.
Even there there rice and baracho beans are way better than anywhere I've ever had. Everything I've had here is great but listen to me when I tell you, GET THE STEAK TACOS!!! the tenderness and flavor will blow your mind, definitely not what your used to in a street taco! And the sautéed onions are amazing!!!
And the owner/chef is awesome, always super friendly and talkative, and to my suprise even answered my questions when I was asking how he gets his tacos so tender.
I don't think I'll ever find better tacos but I'm still looking
