I went here for Valentine's Day and was surprised there was a steakhouse in Georgetown that was this amazing. When you sit down, you first notice the old post office boxes on the walls which is really neat since it's the old Georgetown Post Office and they left the nicest features. Next you notice the modern take on an old style South American Parrilla which is nice as you can watch them cook the food using real wood and fire. I had Filet Mignon, lobster, and tartar which were all excellent. There was a back room that opened up at one point and we saw some Texas Senators back there having dinner. Service was quick and efficient. I've gone back again.

Celebrated an anniversary dinner here and everything was fantastic. Our server was attentive while also letting us take our time, the steaks were cooked as requested and delicious, and portions were perfect for sharing. Many options on the drink menu as well! We were seated in the back for a quieter/more intimate experience, and it was perfect.

This is a lovely restaurant and a nice change of pace. The beautiful old building adds to the ambiance. The menu is interesting and the two times I've been there, the food was excellent. It is definitely an excellent place for dining in Georgetown.

What a pleasant experience. I've been wanting to come to this place since they opened. However, every time I made plans, something happened and couldn't come. Finally, here, it was more than expected. First of all l, it is better to make reservations ahead of time to be sure you don't have to wait. Second, come prepared to enjoy and absorb the ambiance and energy of the place. I came for lunch and tried the oysters and spinach and sausage salad. All with great flavors, so much more to try and enjoy! I do want to come in for brunch and try the caviar with bagel. Overall, it was a very nice experience, the once in a while type of place you come because why not dress nicely and take "yourself " out. We met Chef Adrian in the little store next to the hostess. This is just to show how great the customer service is at the place. The service is definitely worth coming back. I noticed some of the reviews are not 5 stars, as I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. It is pricey and a lot of people expect much more for their money. However, my opinion is that I also pay for my experience, which is priceless, and I left with such delight that to me, it was so much worth it. I'm coming back for brunch and again for dinner soon!

I would put City Post as the number 1 restaurant in all of Williamson County. Whether it's brunch, lunch, or dinner this place crushes it! Atmosphere, service and food is fantastic!

I came here around noon on a Saturday. There was no wait to get seated. I like the atmosphere of the place, since there's a more classy vibe to it. My server took a bit longer to tend to me, but she was very sweet and helpful when it came to helping me pick what to get on the menu. I got a raspberry drink that was $9 and the wagyu burger was $18. The items were very underwhelming for the price. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there was just something that was missing in the burger. I do plan on maybe coming back but just not anytime soon!

Service was fantastic! We bought a nice bottle of wine & our server decanted it & kept our glasses full. Our food was delicious- we had French onion soup & red beans & rice to start - filets, ribeye, lobster Mac & cheese, and loaded baked potatoes. Everything was wonderful!Great evening!!!

Excellent company, product, and support staff. I almost made a critical error in ordering. The staff noticed that I lived near the ocean after I submitted an oder and reached out to redirect me to the proper product. Additionally, they were extremely helpful and patient in ensuring I knew how to install the railings and had the proper equipment.I highly recommend!!

We love the City Post Chophouse.........ambience and service excellent. Loved Clam Chowder and Tuna Poke.........but would not get sausage sandwich again and French fries did not taste fresh and crispy. The bread is scrumptious.

I am a true Texan and love steak. This was the best steak I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection with great flavor. The atmosphere is very nice. The 2 bartenders (Amanda and Luke) provided great service to us. We will definitely make this a regular place for great steak and seafood!!Parking: There is a small parking lot in the back of the restaurant.

Went for husband’s 60th birthday. They had a birthday card signed by the staff on the table when we arrived. The staff was great. Trinity, our waitress, was really kind and made sure everything was perfect for us. The food is delicious. Four Onion Soup, City Post Salad, Tomahawk Pork Chop with Brussels Sprouts, Prime Bone In Rib Eye, Mashed Potatoes and the Apple Pie were so so so good. The restaurant gave the dessert on the house for his birthday. We loved everything about this restaurant. We will be back. We highly recommend this restaurant.

The steaks are over priced, the steaks were tender but not much favor, just smoking tasting. the sitting area seemed small, service was ok but we got bad salads. And no ranch dressing. desserts were the best part of the meal.

The good: The Boston wedge and City Post salads were great, as was the wine we ordered. The twice baked potato was also good, but a bit undersized as a sharable side and nothing to write home about. The building is pretty cool. The not so good: We ordered 2 dry aged rib eyes. They were cooked perfectly, but lacked flavor. The lack of marbling in my steak and overall shape made me wonder if we weren't served NY strips instead of rib eyes. The steak knives were dull. The brussel sprouts were incredibly salty. I would've sent them back, but they helped to balance out the under salted steaks. The young server who kindly offered to serve the sprouts spilled several on the floor and just left them. We've been to several great steakhouses in the Austin area and for the price, this experience was very underwhelming.

First visit to City Post in Georgetown TX. It has a very vintage atmosphere. The steaks and seafood were very good. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare but slightly over seasoned. The sides were great. Sauteed spinach with touch of garlic was delicious. The mashed potatoes were just right. The sides are sizeable so good for sharing. Service was attentive and friendly. I had expected a bit more of an upscale experience, but only the price was upscale compared to places like Perry's Steakhouse or Trulucks. City Post is a great place for a special occasion when in the Georgetown area.
