The staff is always friendly and attentive which is not found everywhere these days and that can make or break a meal for me. The have a nice light music ensemble on weekends that just adds to the experience.
That said, I've never had better or fresher tasting sushi and sashimi so they could have a porcupine serve me and I'd be ok with it!
My favorite is the Hamachi and the Lotus Float (this is the Chef's creation you wont find anywhere else!) appetizers are amazing, and the edamame is top notch. If you're into rolls try the Dragon Royale or Lobster Bomb and you won't be disappointed. If you like a little kick you might want to try the Crazy Shogun.
Not into sushi or sashimi? All good, get the bulgogi dinner and thank me once you stop drooling. Yes, its' THAT good. The tempura is very light and crispy, too.
Oh, I almost forgot about their HUGE wine offerings!
I could go on, but you get the idea.
In summation - Great food, great service, great atmosphere and honestly the prices are fair as well. If I could give ten stars I would...oh wait! I can!

Everything we had was wonderful. Green beans and calamari appetizers are wonderful. The women loved our dreamy waiter. Sushi rolls were delightful.

The food was mediocre, especially the bulgogi. It lacked flavor, was watery, and wasn't authentic—surprising for such a dazzling restaurant. The shrimp in the shrimp and beef teriyaki was also overcooked.
Bulgogi is a Korean staple, and unfortunately it just wasn’t executed well here. With the shrimp also being overdone, it makes it difficult to have confidence in the other dishes. I’ve honestly had better versions of these dishes at smaller cost at small hole-in-the-wall spots.

We have been here multiple times, but after our experience last night I don’t think we’ll ever go back. We made a reservation for our anniversary. Our little one was asleep at home with the sitter. We arrived so excited for our evening out. Immediately, after placing our order, the server tells us the seafood bisque appetizer is not available anymore. So I request the beef broth soup. She comes back, that one is also not available. So I choose a salad as a third option. After our appetizers come and we start eating she returns again and tells us the starters each of us requested are not available. So both of us request another starter (I got the tuna). While we’re eating the starters, she comes to tell us that for our entrées, there is no more white rice. She asks if fried rice is ok and mentions that they won’t charge us for the change. Every course was interrupted by a disappointment, no matter how small. If we could’ve been told upon ordering that x,y,z were no longer available, we could’ve chosen to go somewhere else or decided to be ok with the inconvenience. But where this experience really fell short was an interruption in 3 out of 4 courses that something was not available. Our waitress did apologize, but it was the bare minimum. No management ever came by to check on us or apologize for the inconvenience. Easily this was the most disappointing dining experience in my life because every 30 minutes we were let down again. An additional surprise, they had a limited Valentine’s Day menu that was only one page long with a fixed price of $135 per person for 4 courses. We weren’t told this ahead of time. I feel like this makes it worse that they ran out of so many food options because we couldn’t choose any food we normally like there. As I mentioned, we’ve been here in the past and have been treated very well. But this was a massive fail and not one we will get over easily.

We used to love this place..
Until we made the mistake of reservation on Valentine's day.
The menu is slashed to handful of options, which was a distasteful surprise.
Then 5 of the items we wanted were no longer available, which was communicated after the order was taken.
Recommend to not waste time and money by going here.

We called ahead to ensure the bar was open seating. Arrived and there were 2 spots together at the bar. We sat down and a couple minutes later a guy behind the bar told us we’d need to get up because someone else was waiting on the seats. The people in the seats to the right of us said those spots had been open for a while. The guy had chops facial hair (manager) and said we’d need to wait if we wanted service. We have been here several times but will never return because of the terrible service and unwillingness to honor their policy of first come at the bar.

We love this place. The band is the best. The food is fantastic. Not cheap but with it. Oh and did I mention the wonderful band. It is sad to see men coming to such a nice restaurant in ballcap shorts and some in flip flops. No class. Highly reccomend this restaurant for anyone that wants excellent service and great food with an amazing atmosphere.

We went to Ichiro in Georgetown last night for sushi and it was absolutely amazing! We sat right at the sushi bar, which was such a fun experience. We got to watch the chefs prepare everything fresh in front of us. We made reservations ahead of time but honestly they weren’t needed. We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday night and there was plenty of seating available. Our waiter Arturo was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made the whole evening feel welcoming and relaxed. The food was outstanding. We kept ordering more rolls and pieces, even though we were already full because everything tasted so good we couldn’t stop! We’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend this spot for great sushi and a great vibe.

This restaurant is a hidden GEM. We had Bagget (spelling) whose service was FANTASTIC! The food was incredible to match the service.
I’m confused why they gave a TV in the place because it’s more high end vibes then let’s watch football but other then that the place has so much thought put into every inch! The designer did a great job as no detail was left untouched. We will be back as this is a new favorite spot for us!

We’ve been visiting Ichiro for quite some time, and honestly, the live music on Saturday nights is the main highlight these days. The atmosphere remains charming, and the staff is friendly, but we’ve really noticed a decline in the quality of the food.
To make matters worse, the dishes that should be served hot and crispy—like fried items—often arrive lukewarm or even cold and chewy, almost stale. It’s a real letdown, especially for the price point. Even the water tastes like pure chlorine, which is not what you’d expect from a place with white tablecloths.
In short, if you’re heading there, come for the music and the ambiance, but don’t set your food expectations too high. We really hope they turn things around because we used to love this place.
