I tell you what I am truly surprised. Although AI told me that this was the number one rated restaurant and all of Georgetown I just couldn't believe it but let me tell you this place was straight bangers. I highly recommend it and whatever you do make sure you get the biscuits you'll hate yourself if you don't

This was my first time at Monument Cafe in Georgetown and oh my goodness. Dreamy. Abigail was our server and she was delightful. I wish I lived near this place to eat the YUMMY biscuits and the desserts are to die for.

Overall, it's a decent restaurant. Other than it's location and classic exterior look, it's nothing special. Stay away on the weekends, it's packed with a 30+ min wait... again, I'm sure only due to the location. The staff were polite, even though they looked like they were all in the weeds. The restaurant seemed clean overall. The food was alright, but again nothing special. My only real complaint on the food is the 'gumbo'... the reux was almost country gravy colored and it tasted like chicken n dumplings with some Tony's sprinkled in.

I'm new to Georgetown and was researching the best biscuits and gravy and Monument Cafe popped up. There were so many rave reviews. Unfortunately, I do not understand the hype. When I arrived and was told they didn't have sweet tea, this should have been my sign. (Although the waitress was nice to bring simple syrup so I could make my own.) This was probably one of the worst biscuits and gravy I've had. I didn't even finish one biscuit. Don't listen to all the hype if you're specifically on the hunt for biscuits and gravy. Everything else was okay but nothing noteworthy. I also thought it was a little pricey. I got a light plate which was one of everything and with a drink I spent over $22. I do have to give kudos for excellent service.

This place is great every time I go. Even though I expect it to be great, they still exceed my expectations every time. The food is so good and the people working there are just so nice.
