I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience we had while hosting a bridal shower at Sweet lemon kitchen. We chose this venue because of its charm and reputation, and while the food itself was excellent, the service and policies we encountered left us very dissatisfied.
From the start, the customer service felt unwelcoming. Rather than creating a celebratory and accommodating atmosphere, we were repeatedly reminded of the strict two-hour limit and “per contract” rules. The constant pressure made our guests feel rushed, and with only 15 minutes allowed before and after for setup and cleanup, it was extremely difficult to properly prepare and enjoy the event.
Additionally, the handling of the billing was frustrating and inconsistent. We were required to meet a minimum to reserve the space, which we were prepared to do. We were originally told that any checks within our party would go towards that total, but on the day of the event, this was changed, and we were told it all had to be on one check.
These issues created unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful occasion. The lack of flexibility and the poor customer service left a very negative impression on both the hosts and the guests.
At the very least, clearer communication, consistency in billing, and a more accommodating approach to special events would go a long way.

Food was absolutely delicious. Steak was tender and moist and perfectly seasoned. Coconut cream pie was so good, just moderate sweet, which is perfect for me. Pumpkin patch latte was better than I expected. It didn't have much cinnamon taste. Ask for their seasonal drinks. I loved the view of the street from sitting outside. Recommend this place!

I love Sweet Lemon so much, I could have it for every meal. The sweet lemon grilled cheese is literally the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had in my life. I am so sad I live far away or I’d have it at least twice a week. I am obsessed. The atmosphere is so cute and fun and the staff is so friendly and inviting. Would rate a million stars if I could.

I had the Quiche Lorraine, it was absolutely delicious, and came with a lovely salad with fresh strawberries and candied pecans. I also ordered a seasonal specialty iced chai, which was also very good. My friend ordered the croissant egg sandwich and a pumpkin cookie, she was very impressed. It was a first visit for both, and we both are eager to return for another. I now understand why several friends list Sweet Lemon Kitchen among their favorites.

I give our experience at Sweet Lemon Kitchen a firm 5 stars. We had a private baby shower in the upstairs rooms. Everything was great. I booked Sweet Lemon without having ever been inside. I knew from just walking by it would be the perfect spot. Zuri was great to work with on the planning and was able to accommodate my additional requests for food items and the additional need for space. I am so glad we booked the whole upstairs. It made it so much more comfortable for everyone. The food items were top notch. Great vegetarian options and the frittatas were a big hit. Most popular was the Mississippi Mud bars. The special order Hummingbird cake was a big hit with the parents to be. In closing, Marisa did a fantastic job taking care of us. She had everything under control, was very well organized and so attentive to all our guest needs and requests. She was an absolute gem!

Unfortunately we had a new server who forgot part of the order and it came late. Although we had reservations. We still waited a while to get service. The food was average. However, it was nice that they allowed us to have our pets outside with us.

I booked a private tea party for a baby shower of 12 people. Sweet Lemon was very easy to work with. I was able to choose from a variety of different sandwiches and desserts. The service was wonderful and the room they provided was lovely. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend Sweet Lemon to someone looking for a unique special event.
