More than doubled their prices in the last few years for small tacos. Been coming here for ten years but won’t return. 30 bucks for 5 small tacos? No.

This place is amazing. Wife works close to here and we tried it the other day. Absolutely phenomenal. I am not a bean guy but let me tell you I wanted seconds on the beans and rice. Al Pastor was perfectly seasoned. Would recommend to anyone willing to listen.

Someone You Don't Know

A well kept secret! Love the foot!

A small restaurant owned by the adjacent convence store serving authentic Mexican food by people who enjoy what they do.

This is where working men love to eat at lunch so it can get busy.

The food is always perfect! My favorite is the Al Pastor tacos on corn with everything. I can never get a pic because I eat them so fast!

Saw this place had decent reviews so I decided to pop in on my way to work. I ordered 2 buche tacos and a barbacoa taco (I also ordered tripas but they said it wasn't ready yet).

The first thing I'll mention is that for $4 per taco I expect the taco to be packed with meat. I was disappointed to see that there was very little meat in each taco. Normally 3 tacos should fill me up so I'm okay spending $12 but here I came away unsatisfied.

The cook on the buche was great. Bigger than typical strips that were tender and light. The flavor on the other hand was a little bland, although the redeeming side of that was that it didn't have any of the off flavors some places have with their buche. Similarly, the barbacoa was very tender but lacking in salt and that sticky, beefy flavor we look for in a good barbacoa. The salsas were overly salty, and thus paired with the bland meat produced a taco that was nice, but not mind blowing. Also as you can see in the pictures, they put radish on the side. Which would have been nice, but they were not pickled and completely raw. Raw radishes have a really strong earthy almost soil-like flavor so at the very least quick-pickling them is necessary. As many professionals would say, if it's not meant to be eaten don't put them on the plate.

There are other options close by that are similarly priced but with double the amount of meat. I will try El Tio Nacho again and will make a final verdict but for my first time, I was underwhelmed and still searching for my go-to spot. 2 stars out of 5.

Great food that came out super quick. They had tripa, which is hard to find at taquerias. Will be back again!!
