Ok came to town for a quick weekend away. Plans got busted and we ended up here. The environment was super cool but we thought we would head to Round Rock for drinks and dinner. After about 20 minutes with the bar staff we decided to stay. They were so friendly and helpful. Edward, Eli and Paige were the best. The helped us with their favorites on the menu. EVERYTHING was awesome. We are now planning a couples trip to come back to town because of this place. Youâll love it!

We have always loved Golden Rule, so I am sad to be writing this. My husband and I visit often and we also like to bring out of town guests here when showing off the square. We used to think so highly of it! HoweverâŠOur last several visits (probably more than 5) have been super disappointing. The service has gotten really bad- super slow, inattentive, and borderline rude at times. I used to be a server so I like to extend extra grace to servers and Iâm really not one to complain. Now Iâm feeling like this has gotten out of hand and I hope that management can get it sorted. We keep trying to âgive it one more chance!â and end up regretting it. At this point Iâd say itâs a great spot for a happy hour cocktail and appetizer on the patio (if youâre looking for a nice atmosphere and donât have anywhere to be for a while). Weâll be skipping dinner here for the foreseeable future. Itâs just too expensive to regularly have such bad experiences. This review is coming from a sincere place of hoping change will happen. This place has so much potential to be such an excellent dining experience in gtown.
I do have some suggestions: I recommend removing the spicy mayo from the short ribs, as it overpowered the amazing flavor of the meat. I ordered an espresso martini, but it tasted more like a regular latte with alcohol. On the other hand, the other drinks were amazing!
Lastly, I think there could be a bit more effort put into the dessert dishes. The cobbler seemed a bit lazy, served on a disposable dish, and the cheesecake tasted stale; you could even taste the plastic wrap it had been prepped in. We also asked if they had fresh fruit as a dessert option, and for a restaurant of this caliber, that should definitely be on the menu.
Overall, I would come back!

Everything we have tried is delicious. They have some new offerings and tonight I could have licked the bowl. The sauteed mussels and shrimp is amazing; the sauce is perfect! The new halibut entree was well prepared and perfectly cooked. We will continue to visit and enjoy all of the delectable offerings.
Overall enjoyed lunch. My only suggestion: take the time to clean your beverage glasses.

Nice little hidden spot in Georgetown. Great ambience loved that they have a fireplace and heated outdoor lamps. The Candied Pecan Chicken is A MUST TRY! Top 3 best chicken fried chicken.
I donât recommend any of the steak dishes- they were overcooked every time. Even after sending the initial dish back, the replacement was still overcooked

Servers spend too much time talking. Toothpicks in mouth. Observed multiple customers with empty drinks and ignored for long periods of time. They seem more interested in hanging out versus working. Management seems to be problem. Owners should pay more attention.

The food, service, and atmosphere was phenomenal. My fiance took me here for date night. He had the Candied Pecan Fried Chicken, and I had the Steak Frites with Truffle Sauce. We both thought our food was 10/10 and would come again. The drinks were fantastic. Our server was so sweet. Would eat here again.

This was a very cute place! The mussels and entrĂ©es were delicious! I especially loved the beef stroganoff, which is served with the pasta on the side and the steak cooked to your likingâabsolutely phenomenal!
