Great location with a trendy vibe. The seating is showing some significant wear. The service was great, however, the rice in my dinner was completely undercooked and the chicken was overcooked. I have been here many times and will be back, but hope they give this place the attention it needs.
9/5/2025 5pm We were at the Sq in Georgetown for the 1st Friday “concert on the lawn”. Had a glass of wine at Georgetown Winery and the folks there recommended the Golden Rule, right off the square, as a great place for appetizers and dinner.
Weather was mild so we chose to eat outside.
We were greeted by our waitress Val, who has a smile bigger than Dallas. Val recommended a couple of excellent appetizers and we decided to split a double patty smash burger....

We had our rehearsal dinner at Golden rule, and they were absolutely amazing from the staff, to the food, to the atmosphere it was absolutely beautiful and we could not have asked for better.
