This place is great! Ample indoor and outdoor seating that is comfortable in each location. It also has the feel of being both family friendly and a great date spot.
The wine selection is very good and reasonably priced for the quality of wine.
And yes, the food *seems* pricey. Should bread and butter cost $16? No. Do I regret spending $16 on bread and butter? No. That was literally the best damn bread and butter I’ve eaten.
I can’t wait to enjoy an afternoon here again!

Incredible wine bar in Georgetown. My husband and I just moved back and we’re so happy to have such a gem in our area. The wine selection is impressive, service is attentive and friendly, and the space is just beautiful. This is definitely our new favorite spot in town!

Very nice atmosphere with a decent wine collection. I love the concept and vibes and would definitely come here with a date or small group of friends. It would be especially nice with pleasant outdoor weather as the patio is quite large and comfortable. 4 stars only due to pricing, $17 dollar spritz, not made with prosecco, is very high and was only about half full.

Union Merchant is the epitome of eclectic. Since its beginning as a blacksmith and buggy repair shop in 1919, it became an auto repair shop in 1950 and a transmission shop in 1980. Its genre was totally changed in 2013 as it was “restored” into an event center and evolved into Union Merchant, serving wine, beer, and creative and unique finger foods and offering mercantile items. Large and open, it’s a great place to hang out, meet friends, share stories and have fun. And if you look closely at the rafters, you can make out the names and numbers written in chalk of car parts from yesteryear.

On a calm evening, with the cafe lights setting the mood, spanish guitar melodizing in the background, and a smooth Italian red…there’s not a better place to take my wife out for date night. When the lawn is open and they have live music playing, it’s one of the most relaxing places to enjoy a night just off the Square. You gotta try this place out!

This is one of our favorite places in Georgetown. The atmosphere is amazing. Such a beautiful & relaxing space. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine, our favorite are their sparking wine drinks.
