We have stopped her frequently on our way through Gilmer and always had a great experience! The staff is always friendly and attentive. Today, KK took our order and help configure our meals to save us the most money! She was amazing! I look forward to having her as a server again.

My overall experience is good. The chicken was fresh and the service was fast. The tenders are okay but expensive. The mac/cheese was soupy and not enough pasta to the cup. The tea is EXTRA SWEET. The tables were all dirty. Sad part the man brought our tray and placed it on a dirty table too. I moved our tray and used a wipe to clean our table. This location has no high chairs or booster seats so be prepared if you have kids. (Not kid friendly at all) The cashier was nice and patient since it was my first time.

This is my review for the Gilmer Tx location.
I went in on Halloween night originally was going to go through the drive thru but the line was out to the road and the dinning room only had a few people and since I was getting my order to go I just went in. Everything that could go wrong from there did from my order to my change after payment. But let me explain why I gave them 5 stars across the board is because of the way everything was handled and fixed.
So starting with my order. The young man that took my order was so sweet and so flustered and so apologetic. He was very welcoming and asked “ for here or to go “ and I told him Togo . So as far as ordering and it being my fault some of it was wrong I told him I wanted the tender meal that was on the window ( 3 tenders mash potatoes and a drink for 5.99 ) well I didn’t realize that is the Tuesday special ( yes MY bad ) . I wanted fries instead of mashed potatoes, extra gravy but I didn’t realize it was 1.09 so I asked him to take it off ( he did ) I ordered an extra drink and he got that right. That’s where it went down hill.
I handed him my 20.00 and he had to open change for the register ( no biggie I’ve worked register befor ) he was having a hard time opening the roll and the girl walked out with a plate calling my number and the order was somewhat wrong. He started apologizing. It was three strips with two gravy and one roll. So I told her it was sapose to be the special on the window with fries not potatoes and she told me that was a Tuesday special but said she would get with the manager to fix it. The young man again apologized as he handed me my change ( finally ) but it was two dollars short ( no biggie deal it’s fixable ) the manager came over to explain he was fixing my order ( again MY mistake and I don’t mind paying the difference ) as I was explaining to the young man of his mistake. The manager also fixed this and I could see the young man was really struggling and I told him to breathe it was fixable. And no at no time did I raise my voice or throw a tantrum. The manager was amazing and would not let me pay for MY mistakes but fixed the order and softly spoke to the young man in a calming way …
In a world full of people yelling over the smallest thing whether they are in the wrong OR NOT just understand that mistakes happen and can be fixed easily. This may have been his first job and he may have been new on the register I don’t know but I do know kindness goes a long way. I hope that this young man is still there when I go back ( and yes I will be back ) and he takes my order again. I have had bad experiences at other Chicken expresses that I refuse to go back to. I live in Overton and we don’t have one but when I come to Gilmer I will be back…. Oh I didn’t get my extra roll…LOL… if you made it this far into my story then you are a rock star go visit this location they care about your experience…. I don’t get names and I’m sorry about that but thank you so much

Went to drive thru for Tuesday tender special. The tenders were great as always, however the biscuits were thin and very hard. Could not split them without crumbling.
What happened to the thick soft biscuits they used to serve? These were horrible.

As fast food chicken goes, this is very nice! Appears very clean and open, I’m not a food inspector but this one passes my test! Rest room are clean!

Went in just before 9pm since the place closed at 10pm and was told they didn't have any white meat because everything after 9 had to be made to order....as if that was supposed to be common knowledge. The inside of the restaurant had already put up all the chairs even though they still had an hour left. The girl at the front door try to offer my two pieces of dark meat to equal the price for the breast (and size), but was told by someone in the back she couldn't do that since other people were ordering in the drive through

Very inconvenient when ordering. For the past 4 years, any time I went here they always short my meal and sometimes not give me my food. Half the employees need to be fired and replaced.

They have good chicken! We always enjoy the food.
The only complaint we have is that the tables are always dirty and we have to ask someone to clean one for us. A few days ago, we asked a young man to clean a table for us and told him they were all dirty, but he only cleaned the one. Today, the same thing happened with a different worker. They really should check them regularly.

We tried the spicy chicken tenders, they were just a little hotter than Popeyes spicy chicken. They are not cheap but really good.
