“A great restaurant. Tonight me and my kids went to eat here and we had a $20 gift card we wanted to use . Total came out to be around $10 and some change after the gift card was applied , the credit card machine was giving problems so we were told no problem just go sit down and they’ll try again in a bit . We sat down and our food came and she hadn’t came by to get my card again to try to see if the machine would work so I went up to the counter to pay and she said we paid for it baby no worries . Told her thank you she didn’t have to do that and she told me everyone deserves a blessing sometimes and tonight it’s your turn. Didn’t catch her name but I’m grateful for her kindness ! We always support local restaurants and this one definitely has gained more of my business . What a sweet employee they had! Thank you for the blessing”

“Being pregnant crawfish is a massive craving! The spicier the better- Lips better be burning- We did have a different establishment we were visiting in Big Sandy (IYKYK) but the last three times service was REALLY bad quality so my husband & I have been bouncing around looking for great quality and great service. Color me impressed! I have found a better tasting crawfish and about an hour closer! Keep it up!!”

“Breakfast was good I had the biscuit gravy bacon and egg breakfast. coffee was nice and hot and waitress was very attentive. While I was eating breakfast the program "The View" came on television and the waitress at my request change the channel which I was very pleased with.”

“Been coming here for years!! I’ve moved to a different town now and this is the donut shop that has real ham & cheese kolaches! They are the absolute best! Anytime I come back home I make sure to make a trip here to get my ham and cheese kolaches!”

“I don’t eat donuts but love kolaches. I tried other 2 places in town but they weren’t that great, nor was their customer service. I finally tried this place and so glad I did! “We came here based on a TikTok contributor. We were not disappointed. In tiny little Gilmer,Tx was some of the finest Mexican Food we've had.The restaurant is clean, bright, updated and beautiful to have been there so long, and fairly large. It was in between lunch and supper on a Saturday and the restaurant was still quite full. The staff was friendly and our waitress,Hortensia, was probably one of the finest we've ever had anywhere. You may order the lunch specials till 4pm and you can even order them at that price on the weekend. My husband got the steak fajitas on the lunch special. I got the avocado stuffed with fajita chicken. It came with queso, sour cream, Pico, that was surprisingly not to hot, and on a bed of Spanish rice. My husband's came with the usual set up for fajitas and refried beans, which were exceptionally flavorful. I have heard that their Barracho beans are as well. Perhaps next time. We got flour and corn tortillas. They were white corn which I prefer, as they are more pillowy and have a bit of a different flavor than the yellow. It is uncommon to find restaurants who serve them and even more so rare if they serve both. We were told you can request yellow corn if you prefer them. I highly doubt you will tho.😀 My husband took it upon himself to order me a large margarita something I probably wouldn't have ordered, but it was wonderful and the size of my face!😜Our waitress told us that while the cheesecake was just good cheesecake, the cakes made my the owner are another story. Apparently she loved this ladies' cakes so much that she flew her here from Mexico for a few weeks to learn to make her cakes: chocolate, Tres Leches and Carrot cake. She said they were all delicious but the carrot cake was the best both the owners and she had ever eaten. We ordered a slice to go. The slice she brought us was as large as our large carryout box! Best cake I have ever eaten!! Husband and I agree on that. Just remembered there was one other thing I meant to mention at the beginning.. chips were nothing extra- average, as was salsa.She brought us a dip tho, kind of like a jalapeño ranch maybe that was yummy! Not sure. Was NOT spicy to me. Spicy and I no longer do well together lol. I also read about an off menu brown sauce I want to check into next time...Chipotle maybe? Don't remember where I read it. Lastly, we drove from Forney to Gilmer, so an hr and a half. It's what I wanted to do for Mother's Day. We will be back and we will drive the back roads again. My husband says he would drive an hour and a half just for another piece of that cake!🤣😋Really impressed with the improvements in these little East TX Towns. They are becoming very vibrant! Most had a festival Mother's Day weekend as well. Get out there and travel your states! Try something new!”

“I have left a review for this amazing establishment before and I feel like I need to again. There is a nice gentleman there with colored hair. BEST service comes from him!!! I never catch his name but he provides top notch service every time, so friendly, accommodating to our crazy toddler, checks on us appropriately. The food is always wonderful!! Never disappointed and always highly recommended!!!”

“In all my years I’ve never had BBQ taste this good. I have been here multiple times and everything I order has been very good in my opinion the best in Texas. First thing I ever got from here was a shrimp basket and it was mouth watering. My favorite would be the loaded fries they are amazing!!!”

“Every time you hit the drive thru, the people are just great! I have gone to all of the locations and get the same customer service at each one. The coffee is amazing too! My favorite thing about Huey’s is that it is locally owned No sending money to the northwest part of the country to support a coffee habit. Highly recommend.”

“My family ordered three drinks. They put the wrong milk in my mom’s drink, but she told them she would keep it. They insisted on remaking it! That was super kind and much appreciated. Friendliest location I’ve ever been to!”

“Eat almost once a week. Food is always good but every now and then they mis a item on the take out depending on the rush during busy hours. When that happens they are always quick to make it right and so we will continue to dine at Gilmer”

“This place is bad. long ques and you cant skip to the food you want. one has to stand in this long line and move as it moves and the food is not even all that and very limited. If you eventually get to the food and the buckets are empty you have to move along otherwise you holding up the line. This must be the worst buffet place in Cape Town and the toilets are disgusting.”

“The chicken was good. My co worker lives there tenders , smashed potatoes with white gravy. I prefer white meat, jalapeño peppers and corn nuggets. The young lady in the drive thru was friendly, joyful and very polite. She actually appeared to like her job which was refreshing.”

“My former roommate and I went to thew Whataburger by where I live in Gilmer, TX.There was no wait. I ordered the #1 with Cheese and well-done and my former roommate had the patty melt meal. The food was brought to us in a reasonable amount of time. I devoured my cheeseburger and fries within just a few minutes.”
