“My wife and I spent the weekend in Longview. We found the Tuscan Pig on the web, and decided to visit. What a great decision. I had the lasagna, and my wife had the pesto and pork gnocchi. The brought these out family style so we both could share these. Both we amazing choices. The lasagna also had their signature pork and was one of the best I’ve had anywhere! The gnocchi was great as well. Come and give this place a try!”

“If you havent tried Leon's Steakhouse Saloon at 2112 S Eastman Rd. in Longview you are missing out. A friend invited me to try this place on Valentines Day for dinner. It was outstanding. Apparently the place is well known (except for me) but let me tell you my review on this gem. I will admit my friend is apparently a regular so at first I thought that might have changed the quality of service, BUT it didn’t. From the moment we walked in we were promptly greeted like family. The place was kinda dark but not so much you couldn’t see your way around or had problems reading menus. We were met and seated by our waitress for the evening Krystale. She was fun, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. We chose to eat early but as we stayed longer the more and more people showed up. Every group or person that came in was promptly greeted and seated. Seems you can sit at the bar, at tables close to the bar or in the back which was apparently no smoking and perfect for families. They had a jukebox, pool tables, and plenty of room for larger groups. Honestly the whole place had an old fashioned “come on in” kinda feel to it that you don’t find everyday. We ordered an appetizer of cut up grilled chicken and steak. It was perfect. I opted for the New York Strip with twice baked potato’s and grilled tomatoes. From what I could tell everything is flame grilled and honestly to me that made it stand out from a lot of steakhouses these days. It was a real treat to try this place and I will certainly be back. The only downside for me personally was they didn’t serve hard liquor just beer and wine. But from what I understand you can bring your own in if you like and they will sell you mixers. Bottom line it was a great meal, very very reasonably priced, and the service was on point. If you are in the area I highly recommend. Chef Hunter Lee”

Sadly the bartender had “tiny glass of wine disease” and it was a very short pour. Chicken wings delicious with plenty of celery and carrots which made it for me. Expect slower service and food during peak hours because there’s one person in front and one person in kitchen. Good and tasty. Expect to be there to sit and relax and wait for your lunch, not for quick pick up or quick lunch hour. Friendly but I wasn’t ready to pay that much for lunch with entree and water.”

“Did you know Deb's Downtown Cafe is a small business restaurant that has remained anchored and opened in downtown Longview the longest? Yes, she has been opened longer than all other food establishments downtown and has set a great example for others.

We had lunch on Monday and it was delicious! The cheddar jalapeño soup is a must try. Deb and her staff always have a smile on their faces, working non-stop to make sure everyone is taken care off.

“Came here to do some studying one day, and I’ve found my new favorite coffee shop! The food/drinks are super tasty. Lots of flavor options that I don’t find in other local shops, like my favorite, butter pecan! The ladies that work there are always very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast pie is delicious, especially with some picante/hot sauce, and the (not pictured unfortunately) HUGE banana bread slice was super moist and full of flavor. Definitely recommend coming here!!!”

Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it was also one of the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted. Chi-town foodie here. Found this place in my Google searching. Good Burgers in a gas station? Didn't think it existed til stepping in this place. The staff was friendly, patient and helpful for this first timer. Burger was HUGE!. People here saying the patties are thin. Kick rocks!

Now there's nothing spectacular about how they make the burgers but it's a good ole 1995 burger. Fresh ingredients and real ground beef made from hand. No pre-made frozen mess.

I would definitely venture back if ever in the area again.

“I spent weekend with my boyfriend in Longview, it was his birthday yesterday, August 4th, he took me to Cheddar's, I ordered the half rack of ribs and he ordered the meatloaf, the ribs were do tender and delicious, my boyfriend ordered the meatloaf, he wasn't impressed, he should have ordered the ribs.
But the croissants were amazing!!!!!

They've since switched from solid links to sliced longer links. They are dry and lacking a lot of the flavor they previously had.”
