“Went here today for the first time. If it works out, I would come here often after work on Fridays. Location, menu and atmosphere-wise it's the perfect place to treat myself when I am in the mood to do so.

Things got off to a bad start when they left me unapproached after seating for about 15 minutes. Since I was there between the times that most people eat lunch or dinner, there were only three other groups dining in the restaurant. However, once I finally decided to make something happen, no one was out in the restaurant or even at the bar. I had to wait outside the kitchen door for a moment until someone came out when I politely explained having been forgotten. They felt really terrible and worked hard to make this up to me, so that is good news.

From this point forward, they took great care of me. Love that you can choose spring mix for the side salad instead of traditional lettuce! And it comes with hearty shreds of parm. Everything was fresh. I ordered the honey orange glazed grilled salmon served with jasmine rice and grilled veg. I was expecting the salmon to be grilled, but it seemed more steamed? And it was not at all dry, very tender and juicy, but cooked through instead of medium or medium rare, but it was delicious nonetheless. There was something off about the glaze; it's possibly normally yummy, but it had a weird taste - maybe burnt? Anyways, I scraped it off, and everything else was a treat! The jasmine rice was spot on in terms of texture and flavor. The veg had onions throughout which was a nice touch and the seasoning was perfection. I ate every bite! The manager came by at the perfect time to check on my experience. I did not say one word about the glaze, because I did not want to complain twice in one visit! Normally I would politely mention something like this just so they know.

I did not order any cocktails because it was, like, the middle of the day - LOL. BUT I was impressed that they had a nice cocktail menu right on the table with signature drink choices. Seriously, I do not know why every restaurant does not do this, leaving patrons to flounder aimlessly at what to order, or stick with a "go-to" cocktail. Cocktails signature to a restaurant make the dining experience way better IMO! And can make the restaurant more money. Win, win.

I will try this restaurant again one Friday. I would like to try some other items from their menu, and would even order the salmon again - with glaze on the side - to see if mine today was a fluke. I am hoping for awesome, because this place would be impressive for meeting a visitor for lunch or dinner if they have never been to Longview!”

“Wow! I have slept on this place and the only person missing out was me. Got my first order tonight and I got a pretty large sample size because it was boys night in and I couldn't make up my mind. I got three different rolls the bulgogi with rice and some mandoo(if potstickers and wings had a baby). I received everything very purposely packaged to prevent spillage and keep the hot items hot vs cold items cold. I'll admit I'm a bit snooty when it comes to longviews asian food selection and up to now have been mostly underwhelmed with a couple of exceptions, but after sampling three dishes I put evergreen on my short list of places I will actually frequent for Asian cuisine in longview. in fact ive sorely missed food this good in longview period since I moved back from Austin in 2022. I have no idea about ambiance or service, etc since I ordered to go but judging from flavor and the care they put into packaging i would expect those things are probably on point as well. The price point is very reasonable for portion size and again the flavors are just explosive. I'm so excited to make this a weekly go to spot. Literally one of those places I may try every single menu item at least once.”

“Came here to do some studying one day, and I’ve found my new favorite coffee shop! The food/drinks are super tasty. Lots of flavor options that I don’t find in other local shops, like my favorite, butter pecan! The ladies that work there are always very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast pie is delicious, especially with some picante/hot sauce, and the (not pictured unfortunately) HUGE banana bread slice was super moist and full of flavor. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it was also one of the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted. They put so much thought and care into their designs and flavors, and it truly shows in the final product. Our daughter's quinceanera cake was everything we could have asked for and more. It was a hit with all of our guests, and we were only left with a little bit of the first layer by the end of the night. I highly recommend Edible Art for any special occasion or event. “Love Yukon! They have the best cold brew in town. Strong coffee, great flavor, consistent, high quality. FRESH too. Fresh matters because I can have an allergic reaction to histamine in old coffee, and I have never ever had any issue here. That means their beans and brew is fresh and stored well.

Kind staff who are professional and dont do the weird pretend friendship game we get at some shops (its so weird to me when other places do that, sorry).

The iced yukano is my favorite coffee option out of anything else in town across all of the other shops.”

“I feel so blessed to have come upon Golden Flake Bakery. A neighbor recently moved from FL to TX and I was looking for a bakery online to bake a birthday cake for her. I called Golden Flake Bakery by chance and they were very accommodating. They sent me a picture of the cake that was beyond my expectations. My friend just raved about the cake and loved the frosting. Her husband who isn't into cake said he really liked the cake and even had some for breakfast the next day. I would strongly encourage folks to check this gem of a bakery out. I've never had a business go out of their way for a one-time customer. I can't imagine what they do for their regular ones!”

I called ahead and asked to be set up in the room to the right when you walk in- we had 16, including 3 young children. The lady who took the reservation was very excited to have a large group. Everyone enjoyed the extended variety of items on the menu, the food was excellent and they even finished the night off with a “Happy Birthday” singing, complete with sombrero and sopapilla! The lady waiter did a great job - very attentive & friendly. It was reasonably priced & the food came out quickly, and was delicious. “We attended a family and friends luncheon at The Jalapeño Tree - Longview following a funeral today. The staff could not have been more attentive or welcoming. Maybe the manager picked the best people to work the event, but they were wonderful. Just the right amount of attention, never intrusive. Three staff members served us in the buffet line; beef and chicken fajitas with beans, rice, fixins, and those house-made tortillas. It was all very good. Most of us got an ice cream cone on the way out, so we paused for one last photo at our loved one’s favorite restaurant. Thanks again, Jalapeño Tree!”

“Good Pizza! This was my 1st time trying Rotolos, so I ordered 2 large pizzas, each 1/2 and 1/2. I tried the Popeye, Jalapeno Popper, Deluxe Combo & Maui Wowi. They were all good. My favorite was the Jalapeno Popper, excellent flavor! My least favorite was the Maui Wowi, mainly because I thought it was supposed to have a spicy sauce, but it was sweet instead. It was still a good pizza, though. Very nice staff, and the atmosphere had a family-friendly vibe. I will go back.

Parking: Parking lot was very easy to navigate. It had plenty of room for bigger vehicles. Also, there was a cut through to the Home Depot back entrance, which kept me from trying to exit onto 4th St. (Which is a nightmare at 5pm).”

The food was hot and fresh and the service was outstanding. Some of the food options were only ok and some were very good. That seems typical of a buffet. It was very busy, but the staff kept it clean and the buffet filled at all times.

Vegetarian options: They had a large salad bar, lots of fruit, and other vegetarian options.

Parking: We went at lunch and the parking lot was very full, but we managed to find a spot.

Kid-friendliness: There were a lot of happy kiddos! The dessert bar offered freshly spun cotton candy, cake, and icees. It was fun watching them spin the cotton candy and several kids got a fresh bag of it.”
