Red or yellow, black, or white everybody gets treated like family here. The food is down home awesome. I had the smothered pork chops with potatoe casserole, and cabbage. The dressing that came with it was great, especially with the cranberry sauce. The fried cornbread was amazing.The atmosphere was warm and everyone was so friendly. O.M.G. If you are traveling on I 20 and you have a chance to stop here for a meal, do it! You will not regret it. Meat and two veg — it is real, down home, tastes amazing food. The cornbread is not that sweetened stuff that you get at other places. It is the real deal and fried to perfection. Want to eat delicious southern food?This is a good spot to do it and support a local business as well. I had the fried catfish which was very fresh, flaky, and crispy. My wife had the fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravy, she said the mashed potatoes were fabulous. Looking forward to another road trip west so we can stop in again.
