The dressing that came with it was great, especially with the cranberry sauce. The fried cornbread was amazing.The atmosphere was warm and everyone was so friendly. While standing in line we talked with an old friend that we had just met. “We have been wanting to try this place for years. We walked in, and no one greeted us. It seemed like they were surprised we were there. We pointed to a table, and they nodded and said we could sit wherever. We sat down, and our waitress was hard to understand. It was a mix of speaking softly and with a hard accent. Got water to drink and Longview water or this part of Longviews water is not good. So my wife got a diet coke. They have delicious and fresh chips, and they bring out their salsa. It wasn't amazing, but they do have an alternate green salsa that was better and fresh. You have to get upon request. Definitely recommend that. We got the triple dip appetizer, but do not recommend it. It was basically an avocado smoothie and mac and cheese sauce x2. I ordered the Carne asada Torta and 5 street tacos(asada and chorizo mix), and my wife ordered the Pastor Gorditas. It took 45 minutes to get our food, there were only 2 customers in the restaurant at 11am. Us larger people had eaten 3 baskets of chips while we waited and were VERY tempted to leave as we were pretty much full.... it finally came out, and it was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well seasoned food. My wife loved her Gorditas, she tried them for the first time, and the AL Pastor was EXTREMELY juicy. This is like a tex-mex place but has a secret authentic Mexican side that they don't really push to us gringos. But definitely recommend that part of their menu.“

“My only complaint about this place is that they aren't open longer. It's the best spot for brunch in Longview! Whenever family or friends from out of town visit, this is the place to take them. Delicious mimosas, local coffee, and tasty cocktails. Their avocado toast is consistently amazing, and that's coming from someone who eats a ton of avocado toast. Their outdoor seating area is so cute if the weather is nice, and the inside has fun paintings on the walls that coincide well with their dishes. The service is always nice too, they can keep up with the crowds and still make you feel special. I really appreciate when they bring out water for my dog on days I eat outside. “I played with a wedding band here. The atmosphere is beautiful, I was served a mean East Texas style burger and enjoyed playing music outdoor by the lake. My only complaint is that there were two pitchers of water provided for the 7-piece band which were never refilled throughout our stay, which spanned from 4-11pm. It would have been great to have had a cooler in there with some bottled waters and sodas. Just saying. Very nice place though! This particular event I attended was notably well-coordinated compared to others.“

Google something to eat and Cowboy chicken came up. We thought they had fried chicken. We decided we would try the rotisserie chicken I tell you that chicken is so good. The seasoning was just right. All my fiancee only eat is fried chicken he said the rotisserie chicken was really good. I recommend Cowboys chicken you want be disappointed.“

“We already like to come to the Cotton Patch as the food is pretty good. However, we decided to be adventurous and go on a Saturday night for their steak special. This isn't a steak house, so we weren't expecting much. However, lately, most of the steakhouses aren't much to brag about either. We found out this is one of Longview's best kept secrets! The steak was tender and flavorful. The salad was as pretty as it was tasty, and the baked potatoe was perfect! I haven't had such a good baked potatoe in years! Much better than what we've been getting at the local steakhouses. Service was great! (We had Lucas as our server) It was quicker, and quieter than going to any of the steakhouses around here. It all was so good that we tried the butter cake desert. It was good, but I think we will try the peach cobbler next time. There's a roomy atmosphere with plenty space to not feel crowded. The girl at the bar however, was rude to me it seemed. She said a total 2 words to me, "what", and "$6". I was respectful and courteous to her and I think she even rolled her eyes at me for no apparent reason. I've worked many years as a server and loved my job.
