“Our waitress wasn't on top of things; delivered appetizers without silverware or napkins and having asked for napkins TWICE when we ordered our drinks as had 3 children was really irritating. Sitting thirsty was not expected either. We sat barside and they weren't busy. 3/17 about 7pm.My food was so rich I couldn't eat it, maybe that's how it is. No complaints about anything else, son and grandkids loved the atmosphere and their food!“
“This place is pretty cool. I guess it was actually part of the bank back in the day. Lots of marble. Despite that, the noise level was not bad.Everything was excellent. I had Sea Bass and Brussel sprouts. But it is very expensive!! I also hoped the portions would be a bit larger. Also, please don't allow people to wear hats in the restaurant!! Parking is at a premium, so be prepared to use valet parking.“
“Had a great experience. Besides the food being fantastic, the service was outstanding. We were meeting friends there and had gotten seated. Someone came with a larger crowd and they needed our table to complete the amount of guests in the larger crowd so they generously and apologetically asked us if we wouldn't mind moving to a different table (we were still waiting for our friends and hadn't gotten our drink order yet) so we definitely didn't mind accommodating the request. The manager came to us and thanked us and offered 2 appetizers on the house for being understanding. We had great service and the ambiance was lovely. Thank you TWELVE!“
“This was my first time here and I will definitely add it to my breakfast places rotation. The food is cooked from scratch. It's not waiting for it to be chosen beforehand. The servings are more than adequate. Even those who have the heartiest of appetites should walk out not feeling hungry.“
“First Watch in Tyler, Tx is definitely a favorite breakfast spot! The service is always great! I’m not too crazy about what I call community booth sitting, but other than that it’s a great place for families and friends to get together!Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate my dietary needs, which is a plus for me!“
“We had the best lunch here today. I am visiting the area and had the pleasure of having Salomon as our server. He was the consummate professional. Ashanti was so helpful and polite. I felt very welcome. I watched a very offensive group of people treat them with such rudeness -- and they were amazingly graceful and maintained their professional demeanor through it all.The food was very tasty -- plentiful and reasonably priced.“
“We love eating at Jumbo..food is always great and waitress is so friendly and efficient. We live 70 miles away so it's a treat when we are in Tyler to get to visit there again.Vegetarian options: Grilled veggies..steamed veggies..baked potato, cornDietary restrictions: Can steam without oil and have dry baked potatoes on request“
“Love this place! And the fact that they have Organic Ketchup is just Amazing! They have the juiciest burgers and one of the biggest might I add. Come try them out! They really do treat you well and the owner is such a wonderful man passionate with what he loves to do. Serve. And deliver The Best food in “
“Great find! This is one of those legit, "hole in the wall" restaurants where the visit paid off. Don't let the dated exterior of the building deter you. Great food, great service. We have been there twice in the span of 3 days. Once for breakfast, and once for dinner. Had a great experience both times.“
“So. Freaking. Good. Every. Time. I have been coming here since they opened and have only had fantastic meals. Can't believe that I have never tried the Moroccan Lamb Flat Bread until last night, but OH MY GOODNESS... amazing! A local gem!“
“The meatfloaf was everything. The cabbage and sweet potatoes, beans desserts were giving!!! I rarely eat meatfloaf but y’all the staff and owner are so kind. They literally check on every table during your meal even though it’s not a “service table” type of restaurant. They care about the customers and it shows from when you enter to when you leave. It’s a nice small, quick eats place. Definitely will be back.“
“UPDATE FROM MY 1ST REVIEW OF POTPOURRI HOUSE FROM 5 YEARS AGO... We were so excited to come back to Tyler for a visit and find that The Potpourri House was open. It had been updated and made more trendy, and although we missed the pretty water fountain inside the eating area (the sound of the fountain ⛲️ was calming) we liked the new updates.I had the portobello mushroom soup, Strawberry salad and chicken salad sandwich trio which was absolutely ?! The soup had lots of mushrooms and had a great flavor. My daughter had the French dip sandwich and fries. The sandwich was piled high with tender meat and served with au joux to dip it in. We had the spiced tea again and although it seemed a little sweeter than last time, I simply asked our nice waitress to put a bit of regular unsweetened tea in with the spiced tea and it was perfect. After lunch, we of course went to walk around the beautiful shop. The ladies were very friendly and it was fun seeing all the colorful earrings, dresses, etc. This is one of our favorite places in Tyler.1st REVIEW FROM 5 YEARS AGO... The spiced tea was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly. The store was adorable with a plethora of wonderful gift items.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu along with plenty of appetizers, sides or smaller size dishes that would suite for kids of all ages.“
“I love Clear Springs! The food is always served hot, is delicious and consistent from store to store. They have excellent chicken-fried steak, and some of the best onion rings around! We always take out-of-town guests to Clear Springs because of the variety of foods on the menu, and no one has ever complained. I highly recommend Clear Springs!“
“The host and the server were great. They both had such welcoming personalities, and they did their jobs well. The food on my plate looked a little like it had been thrown on there - very disheveled. The potatoes were also lukewarm. There were a couple of dirty tables nearby that stayed dirty during our meal.“
“This restaurant was actually fantastic! The prices were very fair! The bottle wine was priced where I got one. The portions were perfect, the food was tasty! Samantha at the bar was engaging and helpful. I WILL come again! I recommend this place. I had the center cut steak, broccoli, baked potato and a cup of baked potato soup. Yummy!“
“We came in from out of town and came here for dinner. My wife and son and his wife had such an amazing experience here. Our food was so delicious and had so much flavor. The atmosphere was superb. Great mix of date night and family night. We had the best waitress named Brianna! She was so helpful with suggestions and so friendly and took great care of us. Great place!“
“Party of 4. We first went to a table in the bar area, but the server was very busy. We moved ourselves to the main area. Service here was much better. Young Man by the name of Daniel was at the top of his game. As for the food I had the chicken fried steak which they claim as voted best in Tyler. It was good amd I would order again but I would not say it's the best.“
“Old school chicken fried served with skillet gravy? Yes, please. Always feel like I'm one of the family when I walk through the door. Immediately greeted with a "Hey! How have you been doing?" or "Where ya been?" if I miss going to lunch one week. As soon as Miss Susie, an absolute Loggins icon by the way, or Maria sees me walking in the dining room, I know there's an ear to ear smile and a big hug a comin'. From the new lady at the register (I'm sorry I don't know her name) to the kitchen ladies who constantly replenish the buffet line, everyone is just the best. The blueberry buttermilk pie is mmm mmm good! ?“
“Our first time to visit the new Tyler, TX location. We had the six oz filet with a baked potato, sautéed mushrooms, and steamed broccoli. They served a small loaf of bread and butter before the meal, which was very tasty. It was a nice lunch.Parking: There is plenty of free parking around the restaurant.“
“Lily is the absolute best waitress. She had our butter bread rolls & honey butter ready for us upon arrival. Smiles as she's consistently carrying stacks & stacks of used plates. Restacking supplies. Cleaning tables. Refilling drinks. Very friendly and personable. I hope she gets a promotion b/c every time I come here, she's always bustin her butt to help get things done. I left her a $5 origami tip in hopes to brighten her day just as much as she brightens ours when we visit. Oh, and the food is pretty good too ?“
“Iron skillet enchiladas are delicious, so are the fried green tomatoes, and the huge chicken chimichanga. The Mac n cheese is the best I've had in a long time.Parking: There are two lots available for parking on the weekends and in the evenings. The main parking lot in front of the restaurant is always full, but there is another lot right next to it that's mostly empty.Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll right up to your table.“
“Know of any restaurant that will do last min reservation for 16 people on a Saturday evening?? well this place did!!!Our server was great “OVO team”The food was amazing and everything came out on time perfect !Thank you for the great service, keep up the good work !“
“I had the most wonderful experience here.Everyone was nice and sweet to me, a lot of establishments have employees that do not know how to respect others, the lady at the front was excellent I got a great seat by the bar, nothing but good things to say about walk-ons.“
“We love to eat here although it can get quite loud with long waits to get seated! Very good food tho and nice mixed drinks.Dietary restrictions: I'm dairy free. I ordered a steak medium well specifically asking for it to not be cooked with butter. Don't eat the rolls unless you ask for unbuttered. I get a side of fries. Sometimes a side salad, ask for no cheese or croutons.“
“This place is the best in the East!!! The Texas Twinkies were SOOOOO DELISH!!! They had great heat!!! The Chicken Fried Ribeye was AWESOME!!! The Best Flavor!!! The Ambiance was even fun!!! There was a Saxophone player entertaining. Our Go-To Place Every Time!!! You will not be disappointed!!!“
“I cannot recommend Texas Best Smokehouse highly enough! They are located in Tyler on Hwy. 271. A big part of that recommendation goes to their exceptional manager, Barbara! From the moment we arrived, Barbara greeted us with warmth and hospitality. Her passion for great food and excellent service was evident in every aspect of our visit. She went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of fantastic!“
“Stopped here for breakfast on my way out of town. I immediately noticed that a lot of the breakfast menu had 3 egg plates with any kind of meat you want. I had the ribeye, eggs, toast and coffee. Discounts for seniors, there are many options on menu for everyone. Nice friendly wait staff made sure we were taken care of. Thanks!“
“The Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich was enough for two folks! Ordered a side of fries (not included) which were "basic" at best.Second order was a "Loaded" Baked Potato which included bacon, cheese and sour cream packets. It was substantial in size although too well-done.Tables and booth seats were not clean. As usual, the beans are a hit!“
“This has always been a home away from home to me. Love the experience I get when I come to Sportszone. The drinks are cold and the food is always great. The wings are the best in town. Its a great addition to Downtown Tyler unlike anything else on the square.“
“WOW. I recently stopped by and had an incredible experience with great food and service. The southwestern egg rolls were insane and the person next to me had onion rings the size of Texas! The staff was very friendly and I had a great experience.“
“I always like eating breakfast at Denny's. I enjoy their coffee, but I wish they would bring back the hazelnut creamer ?. This one in Jacksonville, Texas, is pretty good. The service was okay, had to wait for coffee refills, even though it was between breakfast and lunch. The food is always good and for the prices, you can't beat it!“
“Grat Mural artwork on the wall. I heard great reviews about their wings, Philly, and fish fry. Let me tell you their 1/2 lb fresh angus beef burger is out of chain. Haven't eat that big and delicious for while. And real fruits real DAIQUIRIS to go is best for me as option. They even let me smple all the flavors of daiquiris. Best Margaritas ?..“
“Best barbecue I’ve ever had. Service is incredible- my husband and I love stopping by here. The brisket melts in your mouth- sides are great too. Hot links and ribs are incredible. The lemonade and tea moonshine is delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!“
