“As you enter, you are promptly greeted. We had a reservation, which due to traffic we were a little late. That being said we were seated immediately. Indoors every table has a view of the kitchen. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable, and were able to answer any questions about the menu. I had the Crab cake Hush Puppies to start. Nice large hunks of lump crab in a moist, and fried to perfection batter. Accompanied with a slightly spicy remoulade. For my entree I went with a Blue crab Claw Ravioli. The balance of this dish I cannot even put into words. Talking with Chef Lance after the meal, and observing him at work. You can see and feel his passion for his chosen art. Just when you think your experience can't get any better, a walk to the back of the restaurant. A doorway marked "janitors closet" hides a secret entrance to the Speakeasy. I highly recommend a visit, should you find yourself anywhere near Tyler Texas!!“

“Dude! First things first RONNY is the best manager I have ever had the pleasure of talking to! He was so kind and understanding! He even came outside to check on us and throw away my trash! You don’t see that a lot nowadays especially at a chain restaurant! Secondly the food was extravagant! And I could not recommend this place enough!

Presentation: They really need to start using a wax paper liner under the food. It’s a small detail, but it makes a huge difference in the experience. “We had a great experience at the Diner in Tyler. It was our first time there and we will be back. Melissa was amazing and attentive but not too much so. She really did a great job of reading the room and understanding when to approach us. The water was outstanding and with that you know the food will be quality. The coffee was excellent and the portions were great plenty to take home. Prices were lower than expected which was a bonus! Thanks for excellent service and great first experience. We will be back and we will be bringing more people 😊“

“the atmosphere in this restaurant is such a vibe. they have some of the best servers. very attentive and on point. some of the most delicious ramen I've ever had on top of their sushi is just phenomenal. my favorite is the takoyaki October balls I just can't get enough of it. everything so far I've had here has been amazing and I can't recommended enough. Mikotos has my heart and my stomach.“

“A day late posting this because I just got out of the ER and I’m feeling much better.

Yesterday My son and I came to Kawa to enjoy dinner, but on my second bite of calamari, I had a very scary choking emergency. I’m so sorry to everyone who was there for the commotion.

The three staff members in the photo, along with a couple of other guests nearby, immediately rushed to help. They took turns performing the Heimlich maneuver, and one of them was finally able to dislodge the food. They called 911, brought me ice and ice packs, stayed with me, and made sure both my son and I were okay. They were calm, caring, and incredibly kind throughout the whole experience, and never made me feel embarrassed.

Thank you to Kawa’s amazing staff and management. I wasn’t able to stay and enjoy my meal because I had to leave for emergency, but I’ll never forget your kindness and quick actions. I’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy the food properly.“

The street tacos on the appetizer menu are our go to for a meal - ask to add melted white cheese - game changer!! Our usual server, Laura, is very observant and accommodating!!“

“I ordered through Door Dash while my husband was in the hospital, so it might be better in person. The food was OKAY. The spring rolls were really chewy and there was way too much lettuce in them. The beef vermicelli also had way too much lettuce in ratio to the beef and noodles. It had a good flavor though. I may or may not eat there again, but will definitely dine in instead of ordering.“
