“It was a nice surprise to find reasonably priced doughnuts, kolaches, and breakfast sandwiches. I live in the Houston area, where these items have more than doubled in price in the last couple years.
The blueberry donuts were amazing. I also loved their sausage kolaches and the boudin kolache. My wife said the fried egg on her croissant sandwich was better than she has had in a long time.

“We had such a wonderful stay at the Carriage House! We stayed in the Jay Gould Room, and it was spotless, comfortable, and full of charm. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day, and the entire property had such a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. The hosts truly made us feel like family. They remembered that this was our very first stay at a bed and breakfast and even remembered little details from our conversations. That personal touch made our stay feel so much more special. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding! Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. I especially loved the peach chimichanga; it was delicious! The fresh fruit, omelet, coffee, and even a mimosa made breakfast feel like a special treat instead of just another meal. We also enjoyed spending the evening around the fire pit and relaxing in the rocking chairs on the front porch. It’s one of those places where you immediately feel at home. Every detail reflected the care and hospitality of the owners. If you’re looking for a cozy, quiet place to stay in Jefferson, I can’t recommend the Carriage House enough. We’ll definitely be back!“
