“Absolutely love this place! From the moment you walk-in, to getting your order taken, to getting your food and to the moment you leave, all you get are smiles! When you hear the smacking in the kitchen, you know your pupusas are being made to order. All l can say, the pupusas and curtido are delish! They do offer other items in the menu but I always go back for the pupusas (mixta is my favorite). Defenitely a must when trying Salvadorian food.“

“We attended a family and friends luncheon at The Jalapeño Tree - Longview following a funeral today. The staff could not have been more attentive or welcoming. Maybe the manager picked the best people to work the event, but they were wonderful. Just the right amount of attention, never intrusive. Three staff members served us in the buffet line; beef and chicken fajitas with beans, rice, fixins, and those house-made tortillas. It was all very good. Most of us got an ice cream cone on the way out, so we paused for one last photo at our loved one’s favorite restaurant. Thanks again, Jalapeño Tree!“

“We usually eat at the Kilgore location, but due to the fire, we went to Longview. Food was very good, but the server was WONDERFUL. She made us want to go back soon. Her name on our ticket was Kenya.“

“First and foremost, Michael L. is the backbone of this restaurant. He truly represents Papacita’s excellence. Michael L. has a great attitude and is an amazing employee. I also heard that he has been a loyal team member, working at Papacita’s since 2020 and putting in six days a week.
In my humble opinion, Michael deserves a raise or some kind of recognition. He is exactly what every company wants in an employee: hardworking, respectful, reliable, and a man of integrity.“
