Breakfast was good I had the biscuit gravy bacon and egg breakfast. coffee was nice and hot and waitress was very attentive. While I was eating breakfast the program "The View" came on television and the waitress at my request change the channel which I was very pleased with.

Went there for breakfast with my family for the first time, and we had a great experience! The food came out quickly, everything was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back! 😊

Midway Cafe is a cozy and welcoming establishment that serves delicious home-cooked food. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including black-eyed peas and cabbage, the all-you-can-eat fish on Tuesdays and Fridays, and chicken strips. Breakfast is served all day, making it one of the only non-fast food places in Gilmer open on Sundays. The prices are fair, and the atmosphere is clean, though not plush. The staff is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Some dishes, like the sweet tea, may not meet expectations, but the flavorful food, such as the chicken fried chicken with its tasty breading and white gravy on mashed potatoes, makes it worthwhile. The cafe is a great choice for those visiting Gilmer and is worth a return visit, especially on fish nights.
