Dud’s on the Lake Restaurant

We went before they closed this location. We drove 45 minutes to get to this location. It was the dinner time. Our seating area was dirty. Are food was not properly cooked, it was cold and not cooked well. Even the glasses of water had a very off taste. Our service was not very good. We waited for an extreme amount of time, in fact we had to have you take our french fries because they were cold the first time. We Understand you've been closed for a minute I'm just now getting to doing my reviews. It was just not a good experience for us. Thanks

We went on all-you-can-eat catfish night. The fish was most excellent! Had to explain a rum punch to the bartender, but she got it very right! Will be back...

Lots of delicious food here! Inside is pretty cool too. They even have a pool table and a touch screen jukebox thing. I got there early enough to take advantage of a few half price appetizers. All of which were amazing, especially the corn nuggets. I was also really impressed with the blackened chicken pasta. It wasn’t super spicy and the sauce and meat tasted great together. A great experience overall, especially if you bring some friends and family with you. Also want to mention the staff here is very friendly and Dud is a great guy if you get a chance to meet him.

My boyfriend and I tried Dud's out for the first time a few days ago and it was AMAZING!! The food was EXCELLENT and the staff was SUPER FRIENDLY and stayed on top of all of our needs!! We will definitely be visiting again on a more regular basis and will certainly be recommending this place to our friends and family!! Thank you Dud's for the GREAT customer service and AWESOME food!! ?

The desserts are really good, and I highly recommend the wings. If you haven't been to this place you are missing out!

I ordered a to go order. I ordered my sandwich with add ons. When I received my order at work I noticed it was missing the things I had added. I called and spoke to the manager. He asked if there was anything he could do to make it right. I told him I was at work so I couldn’t go get it fixed. He had someone bring me the add ons for my sandwich to Gilmer. He went above and beyond to make it right! I appreciate you so much!

Food was amazing and staff were great ?. Really cool atmosphere and decorations. Definitely be coming back and recommending to all of my friends. I just wished they some beers in tap other than the usual.

My wife and I brought some friends here, because we had heard such great things. We were not disappointed! Everything was spot on. The food was delicious and our waitress was right on it. Perfect evening with friends. I highly recommend the blackend pasta. Very good. Dud even came to see how everything was.

Found by accident while out for a Sunday drive... Most menu items are specialties... We had some great Sirloin steaks! A great East Texas hidden secret!

From their unbeatable happy hour deals to their phenomenal food to their plethora of TVs, what's not to love about this place? I was in the area watching a buddy's house for a week. I visited Dud's on night 2. I returned 3 more times over the next week not only because of the high quality food, but mostly because of the people. It is abundantly clear that this is a family-owned & operated business. They care. I truly wish I could give more than 5 stars.During happy hour, you can get half-priced appetizers & buy 1 get 1 drinks. I thought this was an extremely clever idea with the poker chip system they have. If I were ever to open a sports bar of my own, I would definitely borrow this idea. We didn't have an app that we didn't like and we tried most of them. My personal favorites were the chips & queso and the cheese curds. The chips & queso are probably unlike any you've ever had with the homemade tortilla chips. $1 wing night on Friday was a big hit in my opinion. My favorite entree that I had over the week of visits was hands-down the ribeye, which was buttery, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. I shoulda known it was a top-notch meal when a kid down the street was in there on two separate evenings ordering it with his birthday money.To be a sit-down restaurant, the speed of the service was ridiculous. Our orders came far more quickly than would ever be expected.I can't say enough good words about the quality of the service either. I mean, when the owner offers to fill your drink, you know that hospitality is a major focus. I don't recall my drink ever being empty for more than a minute or two without someone asking if I needed anything.I wish we had a Dud's in Texarkana. I'd definitely be a regular. Gilmer, y'all are so incredibly lucky. Whether you're a local or just passing through, give them a try. Haven't dined in yet, but their take-out us really good! I had the lemon rosemary chicken. Super juicy and flavorful, and the side dishes were good too.

As a first time visitor , my wife and i broadly googled restraunts in Gilmer. D.o.t.l came up . We tried it loved it and have invited others that loved it . Best steak with a twist in flavor I've had in many years . Whole meal was excellent . My house highly recommend you visit this fabulous restraunt . Clean , pleasant staff great atmosphere and the food is top of the line

Duds on the lake was a “DUD”.. Paid $92 for a burger,salad with cereal on top (super creative) , two kids corn dog plates. 1 $16 margarita from dollar general and 1 beer. Also ordered the onion ring tower that was not even a tower, also a waste. Won’t be back unfortunately, had high hopes but I would have been more satisfied with fast food
