The remodel of this building is great, nice relaxing atmosphere. I have eaten here three times and nothing I have ordered has been disappointing. The chicken fried chicken was tender and juicy, the steak was as great as you can get anywhere local and I am picky about the taste of my steak. Let's talk about the chicken salad sandwich, it's got something special....great taste! The bar drinks are something to talk about also. Sam has done an excellent job creating some tasteful delights if your up for nice beverage or two. I hear they have some awesome homemade lemonade too. I'll have try that next time.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday with 35 people at Rockin S & S Grill this past Saturday. The food and service was amazing. So happy to have them in Quitman!!
First time customer but not the last time! You won’t leave there hungry, that’s for sure. My Ruben was the most meat packed Ruben I ever had and my wife got the horseshoe that was equally as good.

We come to Granbury annually for a family reunion and decided to try a new place to dine. We chose Rockin 'S Bar and Grill because it was on the water. Walking in on a Thursday night around 6pm, I was a little skeptical when there was only 1 other table at the restaurant, while learning it was karoake night. However based on our experience and lack of parties in the restaurant, I am assuming everyone knows what we found out. We start out attempting to order my wife a margarita and myself a beer. We were told that their tap system was broken and that they only had beer from a can (of which I am not fond of). So I switched to a Pina Colada, and we ordered a sampler appetizer of Fried pickles, cheese sticks and onion rings. About 30 mins later we received our drinks of which the bartender, who was our waitress, said "Wow that was tough". The margarita was pretty good however the Pina Colada was missing something as it just tasted like syrup, possibly missing the rum. My wife was watching the bartender as she was making drinks and noticed that she was going back and forth to instructions while trying to make a different drink for someone else. At this point, I decided to just drink the beer from a can and placed my order for that. We additionally placed an order for a buffalo chicken wrap for my wife and hot wings (requested just flappers, no drums), for myself. On the first 2 sauces I attempted to order, I was told they were out of that sauce, so I settled on just buffalo sauce. At the hour mark, we received our appetizer. The fried pickles were cold, the fried cheese was soggy as if it had been sitting a while. The onion rings were burned to a crisp in what seemed like old grease (dark brown in color). At this point, I still did not have my beer, when our waitress (again who was the bartender), asked someone else to get my beer. From this point, we waited another hour for our food. Our waitress had to ask the cook to please go check on our food, as the cook was out on in the restaurant talking to friends of hers at a table for the past 30 mins at that point. So about 10 mins later, our food comes out, my wife's buffalo chicken wrap she described as edible, but not the best, She gave it a 6 out of 10 rating. My wings came out with drums, when I explained that I ordered all wings, the cook explained that her helper didnt know what "flappers" meant from order ticket. My thought was if she had been in the kitchen to help instead of talking to the other table in the restaurant for 30 mins, he possibly could have asked her. At this point, they begged to allow them to make it right, but I explained we had been there since 630pm and it was after 9pm, so I just wanted to pay my ticket and leave. They were nice enough to take the wings off my ticket. However, as we were waiting for our ticket, one of the waitresses walked by and dropped condiments containers which spewed on my leg, which was just fitting for our overall experience. It is a shame because we normally like a good karoake night and enjoy restaurants on the water, however the service and the quality of food made this a stop we are not likely to repeat.
