Museum like atmosphere and large portions of really good food. Owner is so entertaining and full of stories. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. There was an amazing 15 year old young man singing old country standards. His voice was amazing. We had a great time here and will be back.
The steak was cooked perfectly. I got a ribeye and it came with a baked potato corn beans and a salad but I don’t eat salad. You have to pay extra for the baked potato to be loaded but it was worth it. There were 2 people singing and there was only one other family there. The singing was a little loud so it was hard to have a conversation across the table and there were some flies but the food and service made it.
Had dinner Saturday night at the Stockyards during our first visit to Gladewater. I will break down our experience in pros and cons:
PROS:
* The host (owner?) was a very welcoming hospitable cowboy, chatting with us, showing us some of the many western memorabilia, awards, etc., and checking to make sure our steaks were done to our liking. Super nice guy.
