Come and Take It Bar & Grill

Had lunch there today (2-2-25). Very good service, delicious food and cold draft beer. Highly recommend.

The food was dry and nasty unseasoned. the service was absolutely atrocious the servers who serviced me DD wanna have a conversation they just rush my order in and the food came out cold and dry and unseasoned. I’m from Louisiana and they treated me like I was nothing. I wouldn’t come back here if somebody paid me $1 million.

Terrible service, couldn't complain because the server couldn't be bothered to check on us. Literally drank my husbands tea cause mine was never filled. Ordered medium steak definitely was served well but husband ate it. Cause lord knows if sent it back — who knows when we would get it. Wine was flat and again couldn't complain cause it literally took 21 minutes to get said wine cause waitress forgot about it(while she was gossiping away behind the bar). Literally took my salmon home to feed to my dog because frankly at $30+ for the plate not impressed and too mad to just throw it away. First date night in 6 months with no kids and dinner was a bust. Sad cause we've had good dinners here before but tonight was not it.

Marina was our waitress. She was soo good. Very attentive. Definitely gave us the best service we could ever expect. We had a wonderful time.

How can a place with the Gonzales flag called “Come and Take It Bar and Grill” have a no firearms sign? The immortal 32 are rolling over in their graves. They didn’t fight their way into the beleaguered Alamo to have their memory spit on by having to leave my sidearm in the car.

Decent food and atmosphere. Prices were higher than I’d like, but they are everywhere.

Come and eat here! Stopped for dinner on a Sunday night based on other favorable reviews, and the place did not disappoint! We debated on appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, or steaks. Everything sounded really good and took us a few minutes to decide. Sizzling chicken fajitas served on a mound of sautéed peppers and onions with beans, rice, guacamole and pico were fabulous. The Tuscany chicken came grilled in a perfect al dente spaghetti robed in delicious cream sauce and sparked with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and onions. The place was busy, but not overwhelming, and service by the friendly and pleasant Asi was made us feel welcome and like special guests. The food is cooked to order and the quality and attention to detail are evident. Highly recommend coming out to this gem. Gotta try more items on the extensive menu. It's worth the drive!
