love the food and service. Never had an issue to complain about. Love the fajitas and the Migas plates.
Food is okay. Beans no flavor. Waitress looked like she was hungover.
Regular Tex-Mex. Great rice. Friendly wait staff.
It's dark and feels like it needs a deep clean in there
This place was delicious. The chile relleno was outstanding and the carne guisada taco was phenomenal. Average price for Mexican food.
This was an excellent experience. Mr. Taco is a well run, and we'll organized machine, with excellent food.
I did 12 hours straight of motorcycle riding before I plopped into my chair. Before I could say 'Hello' there was a delicious bowl of tasty and crispy chips in front of me and salsa right behind it. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas which were perfect and the homemade tortillas were exactly what I needed. If I ever roll through those parts again I can grantee Mr. Taco will be seeing me again.
Beware the mole dish. They gave me way too much chile to compensate for the lack of chicken. $14 dollar plate.
I gave it a 2 because I like Mr Taco...but last night those enchiladas...I'm still going to the restroom this morning...but I could tell something was wrong because the enchiladas didn't look like what I was use to getting...I know tariffs might play a part...but if people are trying to cut costs...but the the price 14$ for two enchiladas! And the food is subpar...lucky it's in a small town...or else something like that could make business bad ..
Mr. Taco is our go-to for lunch in Gonzales. The staff is always friendly and quick service at lunch time!
Food is amazing also the staff too.
They charged me $1 more per taco than what the menu had listed. The size of the tacos were not worth the menu price much less $1 higher. Very disappointed!

Looking for good, filling, basic Tex-Mex? Then this is the place! First time at Mr. Taco, so I ordered the Taco Trio: one crunchy shell, one “puffy” (fried to puff the corn tortilla), and one *homemade* soft corn tortilla. Each was filled with ground beef lightly seasoned, shredded cheese, and salad. Tasty salsa fixed it all up just like my mom used to serve. It’s not gourmet - very basic, but that’s what I wanted for lunch. Priced just right, too. I will definitely return!
Mr. Taco Mexican Restaurant Is A Diamond In The Rough. I stumbled upon it to meet a friend traveling through in different directions and grab a bite to eat not expecting much. The Restaurant Was Clean & Service Was Prompt And Friendly. When Our Plates Were Served I Dug In And WOW! The Food Was Exceptional! I Make It A Point To Plan My Trips So I Go Through Gonzales and Eat At Mr. Taco!
Generally, the food here is ok. I haven't been to this one in over three years. The low numbers of vehicles in the parking lot should have been a warning. My wife had the enchilada meal which was ok. My carne guisada was honestly the greasiest, low quality stew meat I have ever eaten for a pricey $15 plate. I'll go to the Luling location next time instead.

My plate looked very horrible when I opened it up. Didn't appear to be presentable very sloppy, also wasn't a very friendly atmosphere. I wouldn't ever eat there again and waste my money for that kinda of service.
