The 14 oz NY steak that I ordered has been one of the best I've had, good seasoning, tender and juicy, i ordered mash potato and zukiny for sides. I just need to order a good red wine ? to taste the steak. 100% recommended.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Overall a quiet bar but the food is great and the beer is cold.

Nice bar and restaurant in a small town.

Ate here for the first time last Saturday evening. Great service by Yasmin and excellent food. The steak was delicious and the boneless wings, which were really hand breaded chicken strips, were my son’s favorite. Servings were big and everyone’s food was tasty. Will be back again. Clean restaurant and good atmosphere. Hidden gem in Gonzales.

I have eaten on the restaurant side and it was ok. But since going to the bar side and eating there I have been much more impressed. The service is much better and friendlier. The food it the same as served in the restaurant side. Highly recommend the burgers. One of the best around. Especially for the price. Huge tasty burger patty with several options of toppings. Fired fish is good too. And definitely try the chips and salsa and queso.

The first time we went was back in December 2929. We were with a group of 8. They informed us that the fryer was out so we only had part of the menu to order from. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. The service was slow just getting our drink order. My husband and I decided to try the restaurant again on 5/4/21. Again there was only one other couple. The waitress came to get our drink order. We ordered tea and coffee. It took a good bit before the she came back with our drinks (I was thinking that they had to make fresh coffee). When she brought our drinks, we ordered an appetizer and the seafood platter. The waitress informed us that they were out of hush puppies. I assumed that they would replaced them with some kind of bread. When I asked about what they were going to substitute, she said "we don't substitute them for anything". I thought that strange but the attitude with which she said it was snippy. I told her to just forget the platter and that we would just take the appetizer. She gave me a very rude look and left the table. I proceeded to make my coffee. I put my sweetener in and put one creamer in it. The coffee didn't even change color so I decided to add another. Again, very little change in the coffee. I tried it and it was horrible. We waited for a good 10 minutes to see if the waitress would come back but she didn't. We left $7 for the tea and coffee and left. For a restaurant that is high end, the service was horrible and a simple cup of coffee was undrinkable. We won't go back!

Located behind the Holiday Inn Express, we arrived here 545pm Thursday and we were the ONLY ones in the dining room for nearly an hour. Very nice decor. Devyn was our super friendly server. Margaritas were good. I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Scampi which was six shrimp over bacon cheese grits with steamed broccoli. Shrimp was fantastic - great flavor and cooked perfectly. Grits were horribly lumpy! This was more like shrimp and grits than scampi. Hubby ordered the 10oz ribeye. He declared it was a cheap cut of meat as it had a lot of gristle. He also had the lumpy grits and green beans, which had a funny after taste (I ate some and thought the same thing). Well...the margaritas were good...:)

This is walking distance from the Holiday Inn I was staying at. I got lamb chops with cheese grits and a baked potato. They were out of baked potatoes (how does that happen?) so I substituted mashed potatoes. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Too many chefs feel the need to over season, but these stand on their own merit. The cheese grits were a nice compliment.

A short walk from near by hotels, good food, good service, and very reasonable pricing. Nothing really bad to say about it. I'm from San Antonio and I'm impressed with this place.

The bar doesn't open until 5. Great staff, food from G.G.'s steakhouse that is attatched to Nufo's is very good.
