First time eating here. We were celebrating two birthdays. The server was very nice and brought out our drinks and appetizers quickly. But wow was that food bland. Iâll tell you, I was flabbergasted. Salt, pepper, Tabasco and A1 sauce couldnât save those meals. Very pleasant restaurant vibes though.

Donât come here⊠unless youâre ready for service with a smile, steaks bigger than your plate, and perfection on every bite! This hidden gem in historic Gonzales, TX blew us away. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, the salad bar was fresh and well-stocked with house-made dressings, and the sweet tea never hit emptyâour server refilled it before we even had to ask.
Oh, and the draft beer? Each round somehow colder and more refreshing than the last.
Add this place to your must-visit list ASAP. You wonât regret it!

This restaurant is in a historic building. The food was good. My daughter had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, which she loved. I had chicken fried steak, which was good, and my fried okra were delicious. This restaurant definitely gives more bar vibes than grill.

The place is nice and quaint but unfortunately thatâs the only thing nice about it. We were a party of 2 and had never been there before. We walked in and didnât know whether to seat ourselves or wait be seated as there was no sign. There was plenty of waitresses (all ignoring eye contact) so we stood there for at least 5 min before a customer tells us to seat ourselves. Once our waitress comes to our table she asks us for our drink choices and hands us our menus and we ask her could we have napkins to clean the dirty table. She grabs her dry towel and wipes half the table and leaves (table still had food on it). We finally order and get our food about 10 min later. I ordered the grilled chicken that was unseasoned and not good. My husband got the hamburger steak and gravy and he enjoyed it. The in house ranch dressing was really good. It was our first time in there and will be our last. The fact that no one greets you or at least tells you to seat yourself is rude and unprofessional. I realize theyâre busy but kindly saying âsit where youâd like weâll be right with youâ goes a long way. Definitely not worth a trip there.

This restaurant used to be a good place to go but not anymore the floor was nasty with food and trash all over and my husband ordered a beer and they didn't even ask if he wanted bottle or draft they brought him draft and then we ordered our food and I had steak and onion rings and he had steak and fried my steak was not cooked right and our food was not very warm and we got the ticket the 2 steaks were 76 bucks who does that really and the service was not all that great and people came in after us also got their food before us how is that
Since Josie hasnât been there the service has gone down. She always greeted us and took good care of us as soon as we came in. We loved seeing her friendly face. We waited forever to be waited on and then our order was wrong, instead of speaking to management we just finished our meal with no refills but I doubt we will be back.

My 1st time at this place. I ordered steak fingers. Waited forever, finally asked the waitress once I was able to find one⊠They served my food on a different table. They handed me that plate cold, no silverware nothing, a cold plate. It was hot inside the building. I been ordering beer for my husband all night. I would give a $5 and get $2 and change back every time. Ordered the last beer and only got $1 back. All I could do at that point is laugh. Absolutely my 1st & last time in there.

Amazing place! Delicious food in large portions! Even just appetizers can fill you up easy. Great atmosphere with lots of friendly customers! Always good music, mostly country, and often live music on the weekend! The staff is warm and heard working, they do a lot to add to the hospitality with their great service! Tyla does make a perfect drink! Running M is a wonderful place to eat, drink and relax in Gonzales, Tx!!

Service was not that great, kept bringing one food item out, never got a complete order. Took quite a long time to get service, even on refills. Food tasted good but would have been better if the plates came complete, baked potatoes came almost when we finished our main entrée. Sorry, never again
