I ordered livers and they were hard and chewy. I think they gave me gizzards instead. Asked for a roll, got a hard ass biscuit. $15 of disappointment down the drain šŖ

Driving thru Gonzales Texas and saw a small town chicken joint. Iām a sucker for fresh livers and gizzards so had to stop and see if they were on the menu.
To my luck they were! Even better the drive thru menu says there will be a wait while they make them fresh.
Talk about fresh!! They were hot and crisp. The wait was so worth it.
The price was less than $10 and included a roll and gravy.
I have zero complaints.
This place is a gem.
I donāt get there often but will definitely stop in every time for this amazing food.
Full transparency I did not go inside.
Have zero clue how that experience is but the drive thru has left me wanting to get back asap.

I stopped in for to go catfish on a work trip to Gonzales and it was absolutely disgusting. The first piece of fish I broke in half still had remnants of the skin all over one side so it wasnāt cleaned well at all. Iām surprised they didnāt just deep fry the whole catfish. Iāve had good catfish at several places around the state and this was hands down the worst. I threw the whole order in the trash. $30+ down the drain and I ended up getting tacos from a local taco place. Hopefully the chicken is better than the fish, I didnāt try it. On a positive note, the sweet tea was delicious!

Order gizzards and there always so salty went back and returned them for another order with no salt and still got salty gizzards!
Love the corn bites just wish they sold in larger sizes
We had never been here or any of the other locations, but had a craving for fried catfish and thought weād give it a try. Ordered the 2 pc combo with slaw and okra. The fish and hush puppies were great, the okra had a few pieces that were over-fried and the tartar was just prepackaged. I asked for a water and as the guy at the window was closing it I asked him if there was a charge, he continued to close the window without answering me and already had my card so just added the .52 for the water without my permission or even alerting me to the charge. I understand youāre a small āishā business and cups, straws and lids cost; it would be great though if employees were trained to say there is a charge, is that ok? I also felt like the prices were steep but maybe thatās bc I live on the gulf coast.
Almost as good as my mom's fried chicken.
Great clucking chicken!!

Very nice people and amazing chicken!!!!
Food wasn't bad but when I went to add a side of mashed potatoes and request sauces, they charged me $16. Only place I've ever been to that charges extra for sauce. Alot extra at that.
Food took a long time and was still cold (room temp) by the time we got it. If there's a long wait I expect really fresh food.

Food was too salty and it was one of the only places Iāve been to that charge three dollars extra for sauce.
