We always look forward to Pancakes with SantašŸŽ…šŸ» at Hungry Fox at Fox Hollow Resort! Their pancakes are seriously the best we’ve ever had—so fluffy and delicious! The event is so well-organized, with fun crafts for the kids that keep them entertained. (ours never want to leave!). This year, they went above and beyond by printing our Santa picture and putting it in the cutest card. It’s such a thoughtful touch that makes the experience even more magical. We can’t recommend this event enough—it’s a highlight of the season for our family!

I had been in the lake and came to this establishment for a meal with a group of 15, half of whom were children. We were promptly told to exit the establishment because of our lack of shoes when we tried to use the restroom. We spent $200 and were not allowed indoors. Go elsewhere.

We came in off the boat with our young grandsons who didn’t have shoes. The restaurant proudly and rudely told us we could not even eat on their rustic and totally empty outdoor patio. We were disappointed and surprised that they were willing to turn down a party of 7 who would sit outside on the hot patio just because a couple of young kids forgot their flip flops.

We drove immediately in the boat to Bonitaville and they welcomed us with open arms. So save yourself the trip and go straight to Bonitaville….service friendly and food amazing.

Our experience with this resort has been less than desirable. The booking advertised wifi was available as well as a hot tub. Upon arrival there was no wifi throughout our weekend stay. The hot tub had not been cleaned or serviced since who knows when. Gary showed up and offered to compensate a nights stay AS WELL AS dinner at the restaurant. We thought everything was resolved. This was just the beginning of a horrendous experience. We did eat at the restaurant and the meal was covered. However, several days after our stay had ended we called as the room compensation had not yet been credited. This is when Gary changed his story stating he never said he would offer dinner and a compensated night only a choice of one or the other. After going back and forth why anyone in their right mind would accept a $180 dinner over a $650 night we agreed he would just refund us the difference of dinner and the night totaling $470. Again thinking this is fair. Only $235.50 was credited to our card, half of what was promised, and mysteriously never processed from pending to accepted. We never officially received the credit!! Gary did send a receipt showing the half credit but my theory is they disputed or canceled the charge. Over the course of the next several weeks every time we spoke with Gary or Gina the story changed. It went from well we credited a weekday stay, or half night, or well it was the total for the night minus the cost of dinner. No it was clearly deliberate because half of $470 is 235.50. Then their story changed to hostile tone stating "well why would you think you're entitled to a free nights stay just because the hot tub is not working". I responded with well not only was a service not provided as advertised with both the WIFI (which btw there is 0 cell service at the resort so we could not speak with our children all weekend) and the hot tub, but that is your word that you agreed to! Just bad business, inconsistent stories, and shady behavior knowing eventually we'd give up. I'd recommend staying elsewhere on Possum Kingdom

It was a 10 minute wait to get seated, understandable. The problem is we sat for 35 minutes after ordering food. My wife inquired about it and they hadn't even started it yet. We paid for our drinks and left. I think our order got forgotten. The food may be ok, but I'll never know.

A true gem! I go every time I am at PK. Great atmosphere, great staff! I'm very picky about my fried catfish and I love theirs!

Mold on the fruit. My pregnant Daughter in law was almost finished when she realized the fruit was moldy. I'm not sure how this stuff is prepped and stored, but clearly, it is done incorrectly. It was upsetting because you can get sick, and they are feeding this to people not caring. So fruit seems like a great idea but not here unless you want to have food poisoning. But for normal review, The breakfast is gross. Biscuits and gravy tasted like paste. Asked for crispy bacon, got chewy bacon. This place has ZERO pride in the food and service. So plan on going somewhere else or better yet pack a cooler for day at lake, That's what we will do next time.

I am not one to typically post any type of review, but I have been pondering on this for a little bit. We have been to the Hungry Fox for many years and have always been loyal customers. Our last two experiences have been nothing short of awful. Service was extremely bad/rude/ unprofessional and when our kids walked into get us a table as the other adults were docking the boat the host lady began talking very ugly to them while I was standing two feet away. There were MANY other things that had happened, but when you act that way to kids we draw the line. As I previously mentioned we have been customers for YEARS. we will not be back.

Kid-friendliness: HORRIBLE.

Our family has visited this restaurant numerous times. The food is so great! Some of our favorites are the fried catfish, their club sandwich is so good, and the southwestern salad YUM! When available, their freshly made cobbler is worth the splurge! Brittany makes the best margarita I've ever had! The view is great from in or outdoors.

Vegetarian options: There are a few items without meat on the menu.

Parking: Plenty of spots for cars & golf carts!

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp for easy entry and plenty of tables to choose from. The bathrooms could be challenging for wheelchair users due to size, however they are private.
