Although service and location are amazing, food is less than average and completely overpriced. We had to send back almost every plate that came, raw steak where we asked for medium, cold scallops (55$ for 5 scallops, coming cold), cream spinach refrigerator cold, and one burned chicken strip. Very disappointing… you have plenty of options 15 minutes away…

This review is specific to the steakhouse. First the good: The jalapeño poppers, biscuits and salads were pretty good. The sides that came with the meals, such as green beans, carrots, and spud were alright. We sat on the patio which was beautiful. And the staff was friendly.
The bad: We ordered 3 expensive NY strip steaks and every one of them were poorly seasoned, chewy, and gristly. It seemed like low quality meat and, for our dinner, it was supposed to be the star of the show. Very disappointing, especially for the price. We also ordered Halibut which was just ok but a bit dry, again, for the price, not worth it.
We won’t be coming back. This place is way too expensive to take a chance that it might be good next time.

I'll just say for the time I spent driving out and the carwash to clean the caliche dust off my car...not too happy at all. Beautiful drive and beautiful views from the restaurant were the highlight of the evening. Do better.

Waited for over 20 min just to have a server come greet us. Steak over cooked, shrimp tough like leather, sides were good… but pretty bad overall experience. Would not recommend especially for the $$…

40 years of combined restaurant service experience between my husband and I and we have never had as amazing of a server as Rachel. Oh my goodness, what a GEM of a person and server. She was so sweet, went above and beyond, timed everything perfectly, had amazing recommendations, and really felt like she wanted our experience to be perfect. Owner/management- if you’re reading this, you’ve got yourself a one of a kind employee and a future restaurant manager/property manager. Thank you Rachel for an unforgettable dinner!
A perfect celebration for my daughter's birthday dinner. We were offered patio seating with that amazing view as well as indoor seating with an amazing view. We chose to sit inside and it was perfect!
We were welcomed at the front door immediately with smiles and greetings and that continued through our entire time there. We had excellent service and wonderful menu items! We enjoyed cocktails and wine, jalapeño poppers, shrimp cocktail, various entrees including delicious steaks and chicken. Topped off with a bread pudding and scoop of ice cream! Delightful! We caught sight of a Texas Long Horn as we exited the ranch on our drive home. Highly recommend Wildcatter Ranch Steakhouse...you will be impressed!

We've been in Texas in December 2024, and enjoyed this steakhouse in particular. The ribs... THE RIBS were so soft and delicious. My whole family remembers that time spent there with love.

Pros- Steak was good, fat melted in your mouth, biscuits were good, drinks were reasonably priced. The ambiance and scenery was great.
Cons- Side dishes were barely warm, lacked flavor, they were out of mushrooms, could not provide more than 2 biscuits for a group of 2 (would’ve made up for the bad sides). For the price it could’ve been better.

Very disappointed! I took my husband and my daughter to Wild Catter for their birthdays this past Sunday. Started with the poppers but 4 of the 6 were burnt. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye a $71.00 steak. When they brought it to the table it had so much fat hanging on it that you could not cut it ! Called the waitress over and her comment was “Yeah we got a bad batch of steaks, customer was complaining on Saturday too.” WHY WOULD YOU serve a poor quality steak in the first place it iwas terrible! My daughter’s steak was too rare even though she ordered medium. The drive way leading up to the restaurant had so many deep ruts it was almost impossible to drive on it. I’m sorry to see how far down hill this restaurant has gone, used to be delicious and amazing wait staff.😩🥹

We stopped here later in the evening on a Saturday evening without a reservation and they were gracious enough to seat us at the bar. The atmosphere there was very relaxed, the fireplace was going, the bartender was very welcoming, the food was delicious, the drinks were great. I had a ribeye, my wife had grilled shrimp. We both had margaritas. The ribeye was among one of the top 15 steaks I have had, my wife agreed. The shrimp was very good as well. The restaurant sits off the highway about 3/8 of a mile on a private paved ranch road.
Dietary restrictions: Plenty of menu options to choose from
Parking: plenty of parking, although the road going up to the restaraunt was a little bumpy, if you have a large RV - go slow
Kid-friendliness: very kid friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: easy single story access
