Chicken fried steak was so-so. The cream gravy was tasteless white paste with no pepper in it. The green beans were awful and horribly overcooked. The salad was just lettuce with a sugary vinaigrette on it. Corn was ok, biscuits were good. And the music was way too loud. I didn’t get the sense that any of this was out of the ordinary for them.

The chicken was way overcooked, extremely dry and had no flavor. Do they know what seasoning is?!? It was just myself and my daughter and all that food. They wouldn’t let us take our leftovers even though we didn’t get seconds! They let us take the zero flavor chicken though. IN A BAG! Will never go back to another Babes. Oh and the mashed potatoes are boxed mashed potatoes. ? The only reason I give it 2 stars is because our waitress was very sweet and super fast with drinks and food. Also the biscuits were ok.

The food quality has dropped off over the last few months. The chicken is not as tasty as it used to be. The green beans were burnt and had a twang taste to them.

Ordered the chicken fried steak, sides are served as family style: salad, cream corn, green beans (my favorite), mashed potatoes, gravy (a little thick), and biscuits (10/10). Overall food was really good! Highly recommendDefinitely a place to go if you have a big group.

The food is fantastic, amazing fried chicken. But lunch is $20 a plate & could feed 2 ppl. The salad is only lonely iceberg lettuce, the vinegarette is tasty tho, & all the sides are drenched in butter. It's OK to serve a healthy vegetable. Could have done with a half portion & a real salad. & good luck finding street parking nearby.

Fun place to dine. It was my birthday so I had to put on a chicken hat and a snow cone cup as a beak while doing the "chicken dance" while the staff sang Happy Birthday. It was fun. All the food and sides are fantastic. The coconut pie was as good as Grandma used to make!
My Girl and I went there for lunch. Seated quickly had drinks quickly and our food came out quickly. Our waitress was friendly and smiling the whole time joked with us a little bit and checked on us several times. I absolutely love this place and will most certainly be going back.
