I am not a wine aficionado by any means. I taste something and maybe I like it or not. I definitely am a White Pinot Grigio drinker or Pinot Gris, Prosecco type of guy. On my first visit with Bro-In-Law, I sampled a rose, I believe it was their SANGIO ROSATO. I frankly cannot recall, it was a few weeks back now. Bro, immediately grabbed a glass of Poncho & Lefty. Unfortunately they did not carry a PG or Pro and perhaps they were out of their TREBBIANO DOLCE. It was fine. I did try a sip of the Poncho and it was red, for sure. Not my favorite, so I cannot comment on quality compared to a red wine enthusiast. The tasting room is located on the square in Granbury which is convenient since there are loads of little shops and curiosities abound to discover and visit. The tasting room itself is quaint, narrow and cute. Very friendly wine-arista's who reviewed the options with me. It was late afternoon on a Thursday and there was only one other couple in the place. Bro knows everyone in this side of the world, so nice conversations were had and a couple of wines later we departed to visit the square. I believe that the Poncho was $18 a glass, which felt steep however these are premium wines, so it probably is on point. I'm sure when I'm back up this way, which we are monthly, we will drop in, perhaps catch Chuck to say hi and enjoy ourselves to some more beverages.

The wine was good, the service was great, I'd skip the cheese plate though. Visited Bull Lion on a weekday and we were the only ones in there which was nice. The server was attentive and we felt like we were at a friends house drinking wine.
Came in to try some local Texas wines. Their Cab 2015 is amazing, it's my personal favorite but I love Cabs. It's going to be my go to from now on every time I visit.

Great wines! Awesome shop and friendly staff. Really enjoyed a few hours of sitting here talking and sipping wine. If headed to Granbury for a weekend or just a day this is a must do stop.

One our favorite spots on the Granbury Square! Nice Italian vibe with that Rat Pack feel! Super people, great live entertainment now and again, and of course superb wine! We like to order a cheese board from their deli and relax with Poncho & Lefty... doesn't get much better than that!

We have visited the Bull Lion tasting room in Granbury and the Ranch Vinyards and winery location a number of times and have never been disappointed! Each visit I walk away with a new favorite wine! Lately I have preferred the Montepulciano, but I have also enjoyed their Tempernillo and Malbec! We have considered joining the wine club here but we are already members of several clubs and just can't bring ourselves to replace them. But, on the occasion that we visit Bull Lion I don't mind paying the full price for the wine. It is well worth it! The tasting room is enjoyable, the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Sometimes we actually get one of the family or the Ranch staff on duty and get some inside information about the wine! That's always fun! The Italian market is added bonus... good cheeses, meats and breads and occasionally other goodies! I gave Bull Lion a 4 star rating just because there are a couple of Texas wineries I like a little more, and I almost never give a 5 star rating unless I just really love ALL of their wine. And that almost never happens. We really enjoy every visit to Bull Lion, whether it's in the tasting room on Granbury square, or at the Ranch. We will definitely go again... many times.
