This place used to be great but throughout the years it seems like they are just not reinvesting any money into the establishment. One whole buffet table has just been turned into a condiment bar. The sushi was one roll that was dolled up 3 different ways. And the rolls themselves are super tiny. I guess this place is s few short years away from being gone. The door handle on the one working door was being held together by dreams and hopes.

You should avoid this place.

I've been coming to China cafe since I was a teen. I've since moved and only come into granbury every now and again. I would say the place has gone down hill, but I think its done going down hill and has officially reached the bottom. When we arrived I almost left after seeing thier selection. I recall when they had a decent spread of sushi and a Mongolian grill. The sushi was basically 3 of the same roll with different toppings. Things like the sesame chicken and general Tso's chicken were just swimming in pools of sauce, not crispy or anything just wet chicken floating around. Even the sweet and sour sauce tasted either old and watered down or just watered down. The only half decent thing was the chicken used for the sweet and sour chicken. It looks like there has been next to no money reinvested into the actual business itself. I just seems like its in a steady decline into nothingness.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this once cherished buffet of my teens and 20's its basically just a rip off for what you're paying.

Ok so I just bought $34 of food I ordered orange chicken with fried rice . Chicken was super hard and spicy no flavor at all . Lo-mein no flavor I had to add onion powder and garlic salt for taste , and orange chicken with white rice . Chicken was half soft and hard it had the texture of gizzards . After i ate ,i immediately ran to the restroom and I am never in the restroom after i eat … waste of money . It won’t happen again .. the to go guy was excellent .

Food was a little dry. Crab ragoons were over cooked. Not as large of selection as in the past.

The heat inside there made it very uncomfortable. Once we found a table we went to the restroom to wash our hands & were so disgusted by the toilets inside & out that I literally lost my appetite & just sat with the rest of the family while they ate. The toilets looked like they have NEVER been cleaned before! If the women's bathroom looks that bad it's highly likely the kitchen is disgusting too! I honestly think it should be immediately shut down until it's cleaned up! When serving food it is extremely important to keep the restaurant as well as the bathroom clean to insure the customers don't get sick! This place apparently does not care about their business or their customers!

Okay I’m not trying to bash or write a negative review. Everyone was very friendly. I do have to say, this was one of the most disgusting, dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been to. The restrooms/toilets have never been cleaned. - The food was okay, I went in at about 7pm. - The part of the kitchen could see looked okay & it was extreme hot in the restaurant. - This place could really be amazing, being the only Chinese buffet in town. But seriously guys, hygiene is so important. If the bathrooms are that bad, I can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen. Clean them nasty restrooms & show some pride in your business.

Worst Chinese Buffet I’ve ever eaten at. Used to be ok. But now, terrible. They closed the Mongolian BBQ section; no salad, crawfish were brown inside and rotten. Filthy bathrooms. Paint chipping off tables. This restaurant should be closed. Go to Fort Worth. Clams, muscles, whole fried shrimp, salmon, huge salad bar.

Small place so not much available. We ate early afternoon so many food items were overcooked. No Mongolian grill but maybe only available in the evening.

Went here for dinner as two diners, and a toddler. The time was a little after 7pm and there was next to no body here dining, maybe just a few tables occupied.
There wasn't a lot on the buffet there's slim pickings, if you will.
The quality wasn't bad the food was warm and being replaced. The food was cooked propper. The fried shrimp was a top choice the panko crust was such a nice crunch!
Though im not going to lie, you best like chicken! I dont think I saw but one beef item on display!
Also the only American item(s) for those whom dont like chinese i.e. my wife. Really only sweet and sour chicken and potato wedges. Which were both good.
The sushi selection was a lot to be desired.
Also fair warning, bring your sweet tooth! Everything was so sweet, every sauce was really sweet so be ready for that.
And the service, be ready to flag someone down and use some voice to get someone. They liked to keep their heads down.
But I will give a shout out to the man at the register, he was a really nice individual whom tried to interact with my child even though she was shy.

Worst Chinese Buffett ever my life, not sure who is cooking in the back, but sure as hell he ain’t Chinese. Awful taste. Never will come back here again. Better off driving 30 miles to eat a real China Buffett.
