Couldn't believe how bad the food was here. Escargot was served in a weird cream soup and tasted like rubber dirt. Steak was sub par. Pricing was very high for such low quality food. Normally I always give a place a second chance, but when it's this bad and pricey, that second chance isn't happening.

Lots of positive buzz around this place. So we Went on first time visit for family birthday celebration. The place is awesome, food is exquisite. Service was very good. Pricey meal although very impressive. Definitely will go again however this is one of those special occasion type meals. My husband n I shared the large rib eye ordered extra sides. (they charge $12 if they split portions on extra plate for you) ? this was plenty food for both of us.. Recommend you make reservations for prompt seating.

Went to celebrate my wife's birthday with some friends. This was our first time at this establishment. We have heard various recommendations from friends and neighbors. Service was outstanding, but the food wasn't. I know this can be highly subjective depending on everyone's individual tastes and preferences. I ordered the pork chop, which was the most tender I have ever had, but it was over salted. I would have preferred more spices, but too much salt is too obvious and overpowering. Other guests in our party ordered the Seafood Pasta. Looked great, but it was way too spicy. They could see the abundance of red pepper flakes. The menu as well as our server should have noted the spice level. Many people including myself are very sensitive to spicy food and to not warn people is not good. We had deserts and I had their signature banana pudding. My pork chop was way too salty and the desert was way too sweet. Food should taste good and not just salt or sweet. It was hard to enjoy my food when these too extremes were used. We probably won't visit 1890 again, but we had a memorable birthday dinner.

We haven't been back for awhile but we should have. The sea bass and duck are excellent. The wine selection plentiful! Our server Trevor took great care of us. We'll be back again soon.

Terrific! Was a little reluctant to try a "steak house" because I don't like heavy food. Was pleasantly surprised with great salad and the best pork chop I've ever had. The server, Alyssa, was attentive and very pleasant. Could not have been more pleased with a meal.

Outstanding! From the pre-dinner cocktails, the fantastic food, friendly service, and a most appreciated acknowledgment of our anniversary with a celebratory banana pudding... a most enjoyable evening! Thank you!

We enjoyed a delicious crab cake appetizer, warm fresh bread, a crisp and tasty salad, flavorful seafood linguini and salmon with sautéed spinach and creamy cheese grits. All were deliciously prepared and presented and served in an elegant but relaxed setting. Our server, Zach Valentine, was attentive and friendly. The banana pudding and cheesecake were a sweet ending to a memorable meal. We will return soon!

We have been to 1890 Grille on several special occasions. We first experienced this awesome place when our Son had their wedding dinner in 2015. We frequently tell friends about this place.

I made our Valentine's Day reservation on December 31, 2023. I requested a table by a window or against a wall, but not out in the middle of the room. Approximately 10-14 days prior to my reservation, the restaurant called me directly to confirm my reservation and again, I requested a table by a window or against a wall and they acknowledged my request. However, when we showed for our reservation, we were placed at a table in the middle of the room. When I questioned them about my request, they stated they had no such request..

Nice place. Food and service were very good. I will return. The crème brûlée was one of the better ones we’ve had. If you appreciate the desert, try it here.
