Little hole in the wall spot. Don't pass it by without trying it!? littlerly some of the best tex mex I've had in a while. Spots a little small (geared more to go) but there is seating. Salas got a good flavor with heat at the end. Enchiladas were awesome! Cation: we like spicy and well everything had heat,

Stopped on a whim. The two ladies that worked there were incredibly sweet. I got the Big Burrito. It was huge and stuffed with everything. And the housemade salsa was delicious, especially the spicy salsa verde.

Very small place like 2/3 tables. The owner is very nice although took awhile to get our food tho. I ordered the gordita plate with rice beans special. Was good, very small Gorditas, small portion of rice n beans. Husband had enchiladas plate only 2 I tasted those, very good. Portions for rice n beans which were just OK were very small. Take cash as they charge credit card fees.

Finally tried this place, a little hidden gem of Pearl st. Absolutely delicious! Trying to find good Mexican food that isn't Tex-Mex has been a challenge but for me, I have succeeded. I've tried many places in Granbury and have come to find that little places like La Mesa and taco trucks are where it's at! My new go to spot for Mexican food and the prices are just as good as their food.

I lived here in Granbury for a few years and this is where the locals eat Mexican food. The little lady that runs the place is the sweetest thing ever. She cried with me about some fantastic things.Vegetarian options: Migas and othersParking: Located at a convenience store but there is never a shortage of parking

Stopped by based on re views. Friday is gordita special day $8.95 for rice beans 2 gordita. They were tasty, rice beans were good but very small portion. I had chicken and steak gordita. Ordered lemonade $4.00.(ouch). Hot hananero sauce is good with a great kick. The location is off to the side of the gas station (small small diner like 3 tables) May try another time

Hands down the best authentic Mexican food in granbury!!!Best street tacos you’ll find in granbury for a decent price, 3 for $5 on Tuesdays and Saturdays! The quesadilla’s are excellent and fulfilling. The horchata was the best I’ve had and didn’t cost $5.You would not expect this good of food from a small place, especially being connected to a chevron but the food is the best Mexican food you’ll find for the price in granbury! I always look forward to trying new things on the menu. Yes the place is very small they only have a couple of booths and table, I typically order takeout myself, food is made fresh and quick without having to call ahead. Now to address the other reviews. The portions are good sized portions, those that have reviewed and complained about the portion sizes have gotten too used to the typical over sized American portions that have lead this country into obesity, have never found hair in my food and have seen the hard working ladies wear hair nets and the kitchen looks clean and sanitary. The price for one person is typically $10 or $20 for two people. Hard to beat those prices with other Mexican food restaurants and the couple food trucks we have charge more… this place deserves far more recognition and traffic.

Moved from San Antonio and it’s hard finding true authentic Mexican food restaurants. This place was a gem and the food was amazing. The service was personal and felt like a family welcome. Awesome place.

Don't let the attached gas station fool you.... this is great, reasonably priced Mexican/ texmex food. Breakfast was great the 2-3 times I've been there.... I was offered tamarind tea and it was really refreshing. Hadn't had it before. It's attached to gas station, and there are only a few tables... so I knocked off a couple of stars for the atmosphere. Food wise, I highly recommend this place.

La Mesa restaurant is one of those great hole in the wall type places. We were there for breakfast while time rise brunch. I had the Migos and my wife had the huevos rancheros. Both were delicious. The low rating on atmosphere is that this is truly a workman's pick it up. Place. A lot of folks coming and going to get this delicious food but very few places to sit and eat. Although I will say it is quiet except for some mild talking while people are waiting for food. My best suggestion is to order ahead. Pick it up and go have a picnic. The city park is just a few blocks further south and that would be a lovely atmosphere for you.

I had lunch here recently, the food was astounding. I am a big fan of their sauces in particular, the green sauce was flavorful as well has had a very nice spice to it (made from habaneros); the red sauce was a bit milder in my opinion but not lacking of flavor either. The service was rather quick, they seem to have a bit of trouble understanding my english accent but we were able to navigate it okay. The atmosphere isn't anything to fawn over, as it is in a gas station there is not much room. However the price is very nice, and the food was quite better than most of the places I've tried about town so far. Would recommend for a lunch or light dinner for certain.
