We saw the sign that read best margaritas in town so we decided to give it a try. I got the brisket quesadilla and it’s a lot of food. The coconut margaritas are to die for. Service was great, food was great, and atmosphere was great! Edit: still great service and margaritas but the food is just ok. My husband got a very rare bison burger.

Terrible experience, walked away feeling singled out and embarrassed. My husband and I tried to eat at this restaurant a few weeks back and when we got there the front of house was short with us about requesting to sit at the patio. Eventually one hostess came back and confirmed seating for outside. Once we got outside we didn’t have anyone approach us with a drink order for about 7-8 minutes. There was a family behind us that was loud and intoxicated (which we have no problem with them enjoying each other) the issue was we weren’t feeling the atmosphere. So we decided to leave quietly and go to our regular spot called stumpys. As were quietly leaving a server comes up to us saying loudly he was just about to serve us and get our order. I politely declined and said quietly that we’ve changed our mind, that we weren’t feeling the atmosphere and as we start to walk away he told the table that was the large party that we weren’t feeling the atmosphere, which to their reply was in turn loud and slightly bashing. I’ll be honest with you that was such a turn off. We agreed to come back on a different day but now it’s out of the question. I wouldn’t recommend coming if you want to be embarrassed

We ordered Brisket, steak and ribs. Meats were cooked good was pretty dry. Coleslaw side was good but fries were average at best. Service was slow and somewhat unfriendly. Granbury could definately use an alternative pit BBQ joint. This place is not for those looking for gourmet smoked meats. Just average

Went with a party of 6. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the lake. The waiters were hustling and doing all they could to provide goo service. The armadillo eggs(brisket and cheese filled jalapenos) are incredible. We all enjoyed a variety of food. Will definitely go back.

I can only rate what I ordered so will let the chips fall where they may. Pleasent service, quick and efficient. I ordered the brisket with onion rings and veggies. Being a BBQ snob, I can say the dried out tasteless shoe leather slathered in overly sweet tasteless sauce was better served as soles on a pair of Tony Lamas rather than given the title of brisket and served on my plate. Did grandma fall asleep with the roast in the oven for 8 hours or so? Onion rings were good and the veggies tasty. The other pair at the table had the ribs and they had no complaints.

It’s so sad. Mesquite pit used to be one of our normal go to places. Sadly they’ve gone downhill. We went for lunch and barely had any service. She was nice when she actually came around though. Everything that came off the grill was good but the fries and okra and hush puppies tasted like old grease from long John silvers.
