This place was amazing and it was always our favorite every time we visited. My wife is from Granbury and I was happy to share in one of the last places on the square. That was around when she grew up there. I'm going to miss dearly, And I'm sorry that some California had to come in and buy it. And ruin something that was not only great, but successful and quintessentially Texan. I feel like i'm saying goodbye to an old friend.

Just arrived in town for business and looking for nice breakfast and decided on The Square Cafe.Took a moment to get acquainted with ordering process once I walked in, but got my bearings and went to counter to order. Girl at counter was very nice. Ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes with bacon. I love lemon ricotta pancakes but these were a bit different. Not as light as most and could not detect the lemon curd that was either incorporated or on them. Top of pancakes were golden brown and underneath a bit burnt, which also took away from flavor. Bacon was done nicely. I would give them another try, as it just may have been an off day.Nice area on the square, love the location.

Ate the buffet, biscuits & gravy, sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Then went back for more and got the French toast. Food was amazing, service was friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect.

We just had eggs over medium, bacon and hash brown. The bacon was thick and the hash browns could have been crispier.

We came to Granbury on a trip and decided to stop here for breakfast. It was so delicious! We did the buffet and especially enjoyed the biscuits (homemade) and gravy, the house potatoes, and the mini muffins. The atmosphere was lively and great Sunday mid-morning and the servers were friendly and helpful. Would come back again!

It’s such a cozy and warm experience every time we come in. Everyone is always so welcome and kind. Extremely recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice open cafe with amazing food.

We hit up this busy Cafe on every trip to Granbury and the breakfast can't be beat! We've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table and their expert kitchen gets everyone served quickly. The cinnamon toast is a must have! All the desserts look incredible so you shouldn't leave without something sweet.

Fantastic, kind folks running/working in this place! Soooo helpful! My wife had the fluffiest, most tasteful blueberry pancakes ever, and I had just a delicious eggs, sausage, and hash browns breakfast. Best breakfast on the square!

Walked in and witnessed the owner or manager berating an elderly woman for sitting at a table she evidentally was not supposed to.Then we were waiting to be seated and we asked what time did they stop serving breakfast. She said 5 minutesThen proceeded to scold the elderly woman for not waiting to be seated and sitting where she was.Her words, 'you cannot sit there. I told you twice.'Customer apologized. We left. We were in town celebrating anniversary in Granbury. All other businneses on square were awesome. Stay away from this one.

Walking in it was like being in high school and fighting to be first in line, everyone running into each other to grab a menu & order. People were lining up right next to us as we ate & staring at us, it was uncomfortable to say the least. We had to wait for others & then grab our own drinks (be careful not to spill your hot coffee as you are walking back to your table). We had to walk back & forth to grab our own creamer/sugar/condiments. For what we paid ($12 for two pancakes & 3 strips of bacon) I should have just stayed home and cooked for myself.

We brought my Mom and her husband to Grandbury to see the lights and for a little weekend trip. So we were looking for nice cute breakfast. When we came in there wasn’t that many people in there. All the tables that had room for 4 people were dirty or one person at the table. So I had to clean the dishes off the table. We ordered at the counter with an unfriendly person who looked like she had not showered before work. The rest of the staff did not speak as well. No smiles at all. No one looked happy. We served ourselves the coffee, water, tea. We had to get ourselves any condiments or anything else we needed from other tables or the shelves by the drinks. They called our number. We went back multiple times to get the food. I shake so I have to walk slow. The food was good and fresh. The bacon was thick and great flavor. Coffee was good. Buffet looked okay, but nothing that I except maybe the mini cinnamon rolls. I think we will try one of the other breakfast places the next time we go to Grandbury.

This is the second time they have changed the time for the buffet. And this time by 9:40am they still didn’t have the buffet ready. I’m pretty disappointed I feel like this place is starting to slack and care less about being honest with customers and just making up the time as they go.needless to say we walked out.

Let me start out by saying that we're new to Granbury I have never eaten in this restaurant so I was taking a chance by ordering pies. I ordered on Winterberry one apple crumble. And one cherry!! To my great surprise and good luck. I have to say these are some of the best pies I have ever ordered anywhere. My daughter's birthday happens to fall on the 22nd she got cherry pie. My husband's birthday is on the 24th. He got apple crumble and on Thanksgiving. We enjoyed Winterberry. You have my business for a lifetime. Thank you, Jamie.
