I have the Patty Melt at places like this, and this was the best ever! This and all burgers are half pound.

Best burgers in Granbury

I don't mind zero customer service when the food tastes like cartoon burgers look like and has a price that makes sense. First time I've had whole mushrooms on my burger instead of sliced ones from a can at a restaurant. God bless.

Hood County Times Special Report
We Sent an Undercover Agent to Eat at “Willie & Dick’s” The Burger Joint Everyone Pretends Isn’t Named That

GRANBURY, TX — For years, locals have whispered about a burger place with a name bold enough to make even the most stone-faced church deacon crack a smile. Willie & Dick’s. Is it just a burger joint? Or is it some kind of culinary fever dream hiding in plain sight?

To find out, we deployed an undercover agent with the codename “Chip” to blend in with the lunch crowd and order like a true regular. Armed with only twelve dollars in cash, a fake backstory about passing through town, and a willingness to clog at least one artery in the name of truth, Chip stepped inside.

“The décor was part sports bar, part deer blind,” Chip reported. “There were license plates on the wall, a neon beer sign flickering like it owed someone money, and an old TV playing a fishing show from 1997. I felt at home immediately.”

The menu was a love letter to beef, cheese, and people who are not afraid of grease stains on their shirts. Chip ordered Willie’s One Pounder which is a burger so large it could have legally been classified as a duplex.

When the basket arrived, it was a scene out of a Texas food documentary:

A one pound burger, seasoned like the cook had just won custody of the spice rack in a divorce.

Cheese that did not melt so much as luxuriously drape itself over the edges.

Fries dusted in something that could have been seasoned salt or magic.

“First bite was pure bliss,” Chip said, eyes glistening. “Second bite I briefly forgot my own middle name. By the fifth bite I was negotiating with God for just five more minutes on Earth to finish it.”

Around him, other customers were attacking burgers with the seriousness of a military operation. One man in a John Deere cap leaned over and muttered, “Don’t sleep on the onion rings, son.” Chip took the advice. He regrets nothing.

The aftermath was simple. Chip left full, slightly dizzy, and carrying the faint smell of grilled onions like a badge of honor. His final verdict:

“If you live in Hood County and have not eaten at Willie & Dick’s, you are either a vegetarian or you have made some very poor life choices.”

Rating: 5 out of 5 unbuttoned jeans for post-burger comfort.

Walked in for the first time and waited for the man out front to finish his cigarette before coming to take our order at the counter. The only good thing was the fried pickles we ordered those and catfish and the catfish was extremely overcooked not even edible honestly we just threw it away and left hungry still.

The food is okay here, however, the other two people that went with me got sick after eating here. It may have been that the food was too greasy for them combined with the fact that it was a hot day. I was fine after eating. The portions are pretty big. Overall, we will not return. But if you want a burger that's close by if you live in the area, it's worth a try.
