This part of the review was written by my 10-year-old.: We got grilled fish and shrimp platter and the octopus tostada. The platter came with yummy rice, and the fish was great. The vegetables tasted a bit like soy sauce. The octopus, however, was 2/3 tough, 1/3 tender but tasty. The restaurant is quiet and dated. It felt like a brand new opening and details were still being worked out. (Later I read the reviews and realized it’s been around for a while.) this is the place to brush up on your Spanish skills—I definitely felt like I was not understood in English but when I spoke Spanish (poorly) it was better. All the logistics (seating, ordering, paying) are slow except the prep and serving of food. It was not busy at all. Nice people. Decent food.

We came here all the time before closing. They changed owners and just reopened. This place was really known for their micheladas. The menu completely changed and the food is very bad. I hate to do this to a restaurant especially since they were nothing but nice. They don’t even sell beer. The bill was $100 and we basically didn’t eat anything. Very bad.

Do not go to this restaurant; they charged owners and now the food is crap and they apparently dont know how to cook even the simplest things. They gave my daughter raw chicken on both chicken strips. The stuffed catfish had no flavor and the rice and beans were burnt. Just overall do not come to this place.

My family Wanted sea food. The service was slow my food was cold. The waitress didn't bother asking if we wanted refills. Never again will we eat here. they triedy to over charge us for items we did not order.

Wasn’t greeted once entered. We seated ourselves. Overall terrible experience. Found a piece of plastic in one of our meals. The stuffed catfish was fine, too salty for my liking. The pasta tasted like it had been frozen, and was cold, not the same as I remembered it. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, thought maybe we just beat the crowd but turns out it’s not as popular as this place once used to be. Bad service and food. Not sure how this restaurant is still running, inside needs a makeover asap. Find a different restaurant on Main St.

The food is good and the staff is very good and attentive! Inside has a fun vibe. A little pricey but we’ll probably go back.

Service was slow, food was terrible, place was dirty & cluttered and I'll never go back. There's Mexican food on every corner in Texas and you better bring it if you wanna stick around. This place has been around for a while, but it's good days are long gone.

We opted for this place after living in Grand Prairie for the last 17 years. No reason for us to venture to Main Street, as there are plenty of places south of I-20, but a Groupon provided a discount, so we were on our way. The parking lot was empty for our mid-week visit, but we were not deterred. Windows were dirty and the place looked like it could use a thorough handyman inspection as part of the wallcoverings were loose, ceiling tiles were painted over poorly and the tables were sticky, possibly due to staff using alcohol for disinfection which may have denatured the polyurethane finish on the table edging. An empty fish tank was placed at the edge of the serving area in addition to a large stainless steel serving table, which seemed out of place and the music was loud, coming from a karaoke speaker. Good thing we like Latin music. Ironically, we were the only visitors during our visit and the staff consisted of one bartender, who acted as our waiter plus cooking staff, a young lady we saw as we were leaving, and a couple regulars at the bar. It's tough now for restaurants, so staffing was short, but understandable. We had shrimp cocktails in two sizes and the large was definitely plentiful, had a good taste, with a treasure trove of tiny shrimp (61-70 size). We ordered a kids hamburger with fries, a fried tilapia plate, a mixed fajita plate (beef, chicken, shrimp) and the aforementioned shrimp cocktails. The tilapia was served with French fries and the fajitas were served with white rice and refried beans. The fajita plate featured small shrimp that were not deveined nor stripped of their legs. They were probably 41-50 size (medium), not suitable for an entrée. The beans had the consistency you will find with older beans and the white rice was generic and bland. The beef had definitely been cooked long before as it was very well done, although it had a great flavor to go with the onions and green peppers. This was a challenging visit, as the receipt presented to me did not reflect the Groupon discount ($40) and it was only rectified after some smooth cash register manipulation by the bartender, since an itemized receipt was not offered initially. This isn't a chain restaurant, so the corporate standards you may expect are just not there. The staff was friendly, but seemed to lack training. Will I go back? Probably not as there are other places that offer great seafood, including Crazy Krab. It's too bad, as Main Street could use a few more nicer restaurants to join FireHouse Gastro Park, which is fun and Tuscany's Pasta and Pizza, two of our favorites. This spot could use a good marketing person in order to increase sales to allow them to do a thorough cleaning and fix some simple things that could make a big impact to curb appeal. As a plus, the beers were cold!

Worst place ever! This use to be good place to come but i haven't been here in years and i tell you it was s disappointment!Service is slow and seemed kinda lost. She didn't know the menu.Water tasted weird, and my daughters ice had some kind of trash in it.Food was not good and way overpriced! Not worth over $100 for 2 kids plates and 2 adults.
