Got the pancit and short ribs. The short ribs tasted good. I liked the little side of veggies and rice that goes with it. The ribs were a little fatty on the side. They packed my container to the brim with pancit and it didn't particularly wow me but it's not bad either. I can see how if someone grew up with it, it would be nostalgic for them.
Food court Pinoy Restaurant, the grill check leg is authentic, tapa just so so.

The ladies serving food wear gloves, but they do not change them after handling money, which is concerning. The gloves are visibly dirty and yellow from use. It's pointless to wear gloves if they are not changed after touching money or other unclean items. This poses a safety issue and can potentially make people sick. Customers notice these practices, so it's essential to make changes before the health department shuts you down.
To customers: I suggest you pay attention to how the servers handle your food. If you see them touching money or other items before serving your food, you have the right to request that your food be served with clean gloves.

Honestly, this was so overpriced for the quality of food. So disappointing. Not quite the Filipino taste I'm used to. Container was too big for the amount of food in it. Food was just..Meh. Even my guests didn't like it, and they're Filipinos lol
I think I'll be making the trek back to Kabayan in Lewisville even if it's farther. It'll be worth the drive.

They're food taste really good
We've dined here a few times and I've always enjoyed the food. I'm not a Filipino food expert, but my wife has more experience and she really likes it here. We ordered Pancit Bihon (noodles), Chicken Curry, Grilled Chicken, Kare Kare (oxtail).Located inside Asia Times Square original food court by Hong Kong Market. CASH only.

Almost like home! Thank you! This was my first visit, but not my last. First, Asia Times is unlike some other Asian Shopping Blocks because the Parking lot is "sane" and the area is not congested. Walking into the Hong Kong Building, the individual shops/restaurants are arranged well. Once I found Cocina Elena, I found my favorite foods from being home with memories of mom cooking. So I ordered the Adobo with rice and an order of Lumpia. All was just as delicious almost like I was visiting Mom. Thank you to the staff of Cocina Elena for a delicious trip to memory lane. This was my first trip, but not my last.
