I bought 2 dozen tamales (1 chicken, 1 pork), but they were subpar. The chicken looked like overcooked beef, lacking salsa verde inside, and the pork also resembled overcooked beef, without the chile rojo inside. The masa was soggy and brown. Not worth $18.99 a dozen; don't waste your money. Also, just an FYI, they are not traditional tamales.

I cannot rave enough about this place! From the salsa to the corn chips to the huevos rancheros & corn tortillas…. We drive from over an hour away to eat here! The enchiladas are so good & I didn’t even like menudo until I tried theirs!
The best !!! The food is always fresh and delicious, One of my favorite places to eat. At home style environment , very great service,friendly and respectful. Pick anything off the menu I’m sure you will love it
Please Dont visit this place if you are craving some tacos and a decent cheese gordita, I had to say I had the most disgusting tacos ever, meat was chewy full of far and its supposed to be beef fajita, tortilla was full of oil that it was sooo sleepery and the Gordita I order OMG was so small and it was made of yellow cold sheredded cheese, when I took back my order to the lady that took my order she said that's how gorditas are XD No Way real plain cheese gorditadas are made of white melted cheese, just like pupusas are....and she said well what you want me to do. I SAID I WANT MY MONEY BACK and I wont ever eat at a place like that ewwwww

Bought menudo, 2 dozen tamales, and barbacoa.....let's just say this will be our GOTO PLACE for these types of food. They all had great flavor. Tamales were right on with the amount of meat and a good size, unlike their competitors. Will definitely return to this place!

When we walked in the atmosphere was nice we sat down and waiter came to greet us , brought us chips and salsa then asked what we wanted to drink , the waiter had a smile and a sense of humor he was making us laugh. We ordered our food it didn't take long l got my order it looked so delicious and it tasted just as delicious this is the only mexican restaurant I will be coming to. The owner was just as nice and friendly, polite and funny. The name of the restaurant is Dallas Tamales Cafe in Gran Prairie. From a satisfied customer Mary Helen
