Holy Lord, this place is amazing ?. The smoked chicken is unbelievable. Very juicy and melts in your mouth. The turkey sandwich is amazing, too. One of the best I've had in any BBQ establishment. The sides are great, okra, fries, sweet potatoe fries.Some of the items are currently not available because of shipping, so please be patient and aware-- they post sign on door. It's almost as if you've stepped back in time when the service in the restaurants used to be great. They still practice those old fashioned values. Why can't we have a place this good in Dallas? Prices are phenomenal, too.

I keep hearing how delicious Gordo's BBQ is on Grand Prairie Texas Talk (Facebook Group) and let me tell you the brisket was perfect as well as the spicy cheddar sausage. Everything was fresh and hit the spot. I will definitely be back.

I order brisket and turkey, corn, and fried okra. The brisket was pretty good! I can tell it was fresh and it’s well seasoned. I didn’t find it to be fatty like some of the other reviews.The turkey however…. To be honest, I’m not sure what animal it actually came from. I love smoked turkey but this… well at first I thought I had maybe been given some sort of white grilled fish. Then I took another bite and looked at the texture, it looked like a turkey version of spam. Kind of like the turkey fibers were glued together. It was as salty as spam too. I… wish I hadn’t ordered an entire 1/2 pound.The corn was also surprising. It was half of a frozen unflavored heated up corn cob. Half of a cob. For $2. Let that sink in.Overall just really frustrated that I paid $30 for this order. Probably won’t eat here again. If you love brisket and it’s this or Dickey’s, go here.

I love Gordos, great BBQ, I particularly love the ribs and macaroni which have been taken off the menu for some reason. I hope it comes back so I can be a frequent customer again. Only thing I would like to add is that the desserts should be made in a separate oven, my pecan pie tasted like brisket in every bite ?

We were in Dallas for the night and tried this place based on reviews. We were NOT disappointed. Small little place with amazing flavor!! I had smoked chicken and pulled pork, husband had ribs...it all was very good. We were there about an hour total and came back smelling like BBQ!!
Food was great. Its got a country feel. Ive waited a while to visit this place. The only downfall was a young boy i guess the owners son was carrying about a civil squabble. Girls guys gonna go mess up restaurant moms house friends. I dont really know. The world is already crazy i went to eat to break my norm. (Son though you state your afraid of nothing i hope in time you have reverence for God almighty. I hope also you learn peace and patience. So that you dont place so much value on the people you claim not to fear. Good luck with your situation. Peace

Horrible horrible experience! Today we finally decided to give Gordo’s a try and I wish we hadn’t. We waited almost 30 minutes to even get our food and once it came out we decided to cancel the order because it just wasn’t worth our time or money anymore. Orders were so unorganized and they didn’t even have names associated with them so both the kitchen and cashier were confused about who’s orders were who’s. When the girl in the kitchen would ask who’s was who’s all she could say was “I don’t know, I just don’t remember” with a horrible attitude. There were even people going in and out of the kitchen. One guy with a tank top that didn’t look clean and a girl with her long hair not tied up, tank top, shorts and slides- not professional or hygienic at all (plus you couldn’t tell if they worked there or were just close to the staff or what!). By the time we got up to cancel our order the cashier just didn’t understand that we wanted to cancel and kept trying to give us our food in a Togo box and when we said we wanted to cancel she gave us an attitude. Finally the girl from the kitchen helped us cancel/get a refund. The soda machine was also flat and I saw a roach crawling on the floor. I will most definitely never be coming back here especially after I heard y’all buying baked potatoes from another BBQ restaurant. Horrible wait time, staff was so unorganized and rude. And get this… every time the phone I could hear the cashier saying “oh my god” like she didn’t want to take people’s phone orders… smh!
