Do not go here if you are a Conservative Republican.

edit in resonse to the reply: I have no motive to lie. I write reviews based on the experience I had. as I mentioned, there was never an issue before with this particular bartender serving me. I will ask my friend to write a review to validate my story. as far as the other customers remembering me, It was your employee that made that memory, not me. they sat there themselves in dismay as she berated me to no end while I attempted to deescalate the situation to no avail because I was not able to get a word in. I would think that you would have had video surveillance and could have seen first hand what happened, but instead you chose to trust your employees drinking buddies and her. I'm sure the other employees remember me and know how mild natured I am. she basically called me a liar right to my face when I told her that I was taking an uber. I'm glad that you find me as being the irresponsible one and her the responsible one, so basically, I have been accused of lying twice now.

So me and a friend went here on the Tuesday night/wednesday morning, of the presidential election. We arrived at about 12:40 AM from work. There were only 3 other customers in there. I ordered a double short whiskey and soda water and a shot of tequila undressed. I ordered my friend a Titos and tonic short. we got our drinks, no problem, she got us some Napkins and an ash tray, although we don't smoke. At about 1 AM, I finished my drinks and had to wait around for about 5 minutes for her to see if we were "ready for another round" I said "yes, same thing and the shot too. I am trying to slam a few drinks before you all close." She said something very cross, and I replied, "Don't worry, I'm taking an Uber home," and her response was, "That's what they all say." Then she went on and on about her license, livelihood, etc. She mentioned something about the other 3 people at the bar being veterans, and I responded, "Make that 4" she went on and on and would not even attempt to have a civil conversation. I tried to explain to her that her serving me a double and a shot at the same time was not legal, so I always take the shot right away and sit that empty shot glass to the side. She did serve me my second round but did not get my friends shot of fireball he had requested. If she was so concerned about the law, she would not have served me the double and shot at the same time and would not have been taking shots with the other 3 gentlemen sitting there. Anyway, she told me that if I didn't like it, I could tab out and leave, to which I did for a $25.00 tab. I drink the same way every time I'm there, and when she had served me in the past, it had never been a problem. I do not drink and drive, and I tried to tell her that I have over 900 Uber/Lyft rides. She insisted on just talking over me the entire time and raising her voice. I told a friend of mine that is familiar with this place, and they said it was a very political place. I had never even mentioned to my friend that my co-worker and I were casually discussing the election results. We weren't being loud, obnoxious, or flamboyant. It was just a discussion on the different states, etc. That's when it dawned on me that this was simply a political attack and retaliation. My friend drove me home, and I took an Uber back to work the next day where I had left my truck. the sad thing is, I had previously given this place, Mary's outpost Grand Prairie a 5 star review. I will not be returning and would encourage others not to even bother going there.

If you dives or hole in the walls, you'll be ok here. Smoking is allowed. The only thing is, they don't have beers on tap.

If you are a smoker it's ok I guess...

Dirty Dump. They only took cash, no c/c, which I found odd. Smokey as heck, and this is coming from a smoker. Rude staff. When I walked in I wasn’t sure if some homeless were coming in from the heat or if a prison bus just dropped off the newly released. Nothing about this place is nice. I wouldn’t recommend a female walking in there alone. Js.
Edit:
I placed this review a few days ago as to MY opinion of this bar. I received a nasty retort from this place accusing me of “trolling” and never even being there. Mary’s Outpost, if you can’t take the bad reviews with the good without being nasty, your customer service skills need some serious honing. .

Went for a drink after work with my cousin. It was middle of the afternoon so it was quiet and the waitress was attentive without being pushy or interrupting. Good mixture of music. Drinks were ok, not the best but tolerable.

Like that song goes "I love this bar". Lot of good memories here. Everyone from GP knows about Mary's. Should be a historical Marker it's been there so long. Good people, good music and the drinks are strong ?

I'm a trucker, and used to be based in Grand Prairie. When I was in town, I would normally go to their competition, Jack's Pour House, but if I didn't like the crowd at Jack's, I'd slip on over to Mary's. They're both decent little dive bars, and are very similar, with a lot of the same patrons. I've been off the road for about 6 months, but remembered these places, so I thought I'd leave reviews.
