Came for work related training in Grand Prairie and stumbled upon this place. I had the catfish, potato salad and gumbo for an hour lunch break. Oh boy, I was sleepy through the rest of the training that day. The catfish was good, came out on time, young man that attended to me was friendly and the food wasn't that expensive. I'll try this place again whenever I'm in Grand prairie.

We waited just over 30 mins for our food. My wife had fish and fries. Waiter was nice. Fries were crispy and tasty, burger was good, wife said fish was good. If we didn't have to wait over 30 mins for our food I would had gave one more star.

Was hungry for catfish one night and didn't know where to go.. I stopped into pappy's just by chance and their food is very delicious. This is definitely my new place to go for fish and shrimp. Their fried pickles are super great too!

I ordered the Catfish nuggets 12 piece dinner. The nuggets were very small and salty.The dinner is not worth $12. To make matters worse the customer service was awful. I will not be returning.

Food is always WONDERFUL! Staff is very friendly and prompt. I will always return here - because I cannot get enough!! Love, love love!! Highly recommended.

I really came to like everyone working here- so refreshing in Earth 2.0, post Covid-19. The staff was friendly and made me feel like family( rare these days)- made me want to come back- The food was quite good, I asked if I could substitute gumbo cup for fries, young energetic man says YES, so that is what we had along with 2 catfish fillets, side of great "cold" Green tomato relish, hushpupppys and tarter sauce. Total $12 with tax, felt OK in these inflationary times, but the smiles and friendliness with make me a regular when in the mood. PS: large fan inside is a bit excessive, but safety is a factor so I saw that as a smart idea by Manager- next time trying different items, hope to upgrade to 5*****, but they have to earn it- I dont give a 5 often

Pappys was originally in Irving but they had to close that location. Pappys is a family favorite in Irving and the quality has transitioned to the GP location. The food is cooked fresh and the employees are very friendly and attentive.

I have never had a problem until last Friday. I called in my take out order and stopped by to pick it up. When I got home the French fries were uncooked and I had asked for cocktail sauce and there was none. Needless to say I was not happy with my purchase.
