I make it a point to stop by once a month on Saturdays for their menudo, which is prepared using a traditional slow-cooking method that deeply develops its rich, complex flavors. The menudo is served with fresh chopped onions, cilantro, lime wedges, and a side of warm tortillas or buttery bread, which perfectly complement the dish.
Another standout favorite is the flour gorditas, which come with a choice of delicious fillings. My top pick is the picadillo, a savory blend of ground beef, potatoes, and spices, or the red chile beef, featuring Chile Colorado with its robust, smoky flavor, subtle sweetness, and medium heat. Every option here is exceptional.
While the taquería has just two large tables for dining in, you can also opt for takeout or join other friendly patrons at the communal tables. No matter how you choose to enjoy it, you won’t be disappointed by the mouthwatering offerings at this local treasure.
The food is fire. Spot a little shady looking but all is well. Had fajita tacos and tamales and both were really good. Nice older lady behind the counter.
